Slippery Edges

January 18th marks the opening of the United States Figure Skating Championships in Cleveland, Ohio. This event features 250 skaters competing for national titles in three divisions. The U.S. Championships are eight days of Olympic-style competition and culminates with the selection of the U.S. World Team.

In December, 2003, Clay Aiken surprised most of his fans when he took to the ice in Raleigh and skated around the rink as he sang I Will Carry You.  He also hosted a skating event in conjunction with the Hurricanes Hockey Team. This event allowed kids of all abilities to enjoy the thrill of moving on the ice and sharing the fun with Clay and his friends.

SueReu combined the beauty of some of the elite U.S. skaters and Clay’s voice to make a beautiful video. It is a perfect send-off for the skaters as they strive for perfection.  Enjoy!
