Special Kids Crusade

The Bubel/Aiken Foundation awarded $15,000 to introduce Let’s All Play, a recreational after-school program to a wonderful organization called Special Kids Crusade.

Special Kids CrusadeSpecial Kids Crusade is a private, parent-founded organization that is dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of developmentally disabled children and their families.  They are headquartered in Monterey, County, CA.

The grant from the Bubel/Aiken Foundation will help the Special Kids Crusade partner with the Boys and Girls Clubs of Monterey County to build a positive program that will allow children with disabilities to enjoy a social recreational experience in an inclusive setting.

Besides the Let’s All Play program, Special Kids Crusade has many exciting programs for their group.  They host Mom’s Night Out on Saturdays, and have a VIP Basketball program so that all kids have the opportunity to learn basketball basics.  They also publish a Family Resource Directory which was created to help families identify regional advocacy,  legal services and other supportive services in Monterey County.

  1. I love how Clay and his foundation continues to help the disabled by including them in everyday activities with other children. That is one of the things I love about Clay Aiken…he continues to make a difference for these children. Makes me very proud to be a fan of Clay Aiken.

  2. Clay always said he wanted to make a difference in the world….. Now here is a man that is the absolute best…. When he said that on tv back in 2003..I think people thought he was just saying it to win votes…But something for sure inside of me knew that he meant what he said…

Oh yes…I sure picked a winner…Way to go Clay!!!!! I am so proud of you..

    Hugs,
