Clay Aiken – Entertaining, Witty, Funny, Snarky!!

It was July 7, 2007.  The theater was rather old and it was HOT.  But no one in the Brady Theater in Tulsa seemed to care.  They were there to see Clay Aiken perform the third concert on his “Soft Rock & Hard Place Tour.”

The enthusiastic crowd was ready for an exciting evening of music, talk and even a little dancing!!  The set list for the concert was:

3. I Want To Know What Love Is (with Quiana)

18.Because You Loved Me

According to some of the fans who attended the concert, the minute Clay walked out on the stage, he was totally amazing.  Clay was in excellent voice and was very funny.  There was a lot of great audience interaction and he looked absolutely gorgeous.

One of the fan favorites was when Clay performed “Lover All Alone.”  One fan said that it was a very moving experience and felt that it was such a beautiful and poignant song.

Another fan, Wildcard 24 said:

“Clay was very entertaining, witty, funny, snarky, on top of great singing. What else can a fan ask for? I love, love when he pulled up his jeans while singing about his sexy tractor lol. He was really dancing and having fun.”

After the concert, the crowd waited for the opportunity to shake Clay’s hand.  The huge crowd was handled well.  Jerome had the fans line up single file and there were so many that they made a huge circle that filled up the whole parking lot. When Clay came out, he shook everyone’s hand.

Fortunately, there were many people who were able to catch the magic of the show on their video cameras.  Those wonderful fans shared their videos with most of the Clay Boards so that many fans had the opportunity to participate in the fun.

When the night was over, the fans left feeling excited and happy and Clay left to travel to Philadelphia for the next concert.

The 2007 Summer Tour was a great success.  Clay took some risks and performed many different types of music.  He seemed to have fun and laughed along with the audience that seemed to enjoy every moment of the concert.

There are three videos below that represent some of the great moments of the evening.

  2. Musicfan,

Thank you for taking us back to Tulsa! I thoroughly enjoyed this Clay Aiken concert the first time via cellcert, recaps, and clack; and it's just as excting the second time around.

Many thnx for your kind remarks in the Carolina blog. Have a special week!

    Caro

  3. I was lucky enough to attend this show with my hubby and it was sensational! Thank you for the blog and videos—such great memories! C’mon, Clay, we NEED you to tour again!

  4. The Tulsa banter was one of my absolute favorite moments from that tour…among many. Calling Clay Aiken, where are you and when will I see/hear you again? Missing you!!!

  5. We attended this show and it was an excellent show. I enjoyed the banter about the haunted theater and looking around it seemed like it could very well have been haunted–it was so old. However, Clay didn’t mind and he sang and entertained just the way we had hoped he would do.

  6. That was a great tour. He is so funny and quick witted that its just as enjoyable listening to him talk as it is to hear him sing. I saw him a few times and impatiently wait to see him again.

  7. One of the very best parts of Clay Aiken concerts are his amazing sense of humor. Is there anything in the world sexier than a genuinely funny man? Especially if he’s gorgeous?? Especially if he sings amazingly?? Especially if he is Clay Aiken???

  8. I haven’t had the good fortune to attend a Clay Aiken concert, but even the videos are soooooo entertaining. He is born to be on that stage. There is nothing he can’t do.

  9. Watching the Michael Jackson memorial and it appears the media now appreciates his work and his love of humanity now. Clay Aiken does much humanitarian work and is beloved by friends and family.

  10. I was at this concert. Clay’s mix of great singing and bantering with the audience makes his concerts so fantastic. Clay is a master of picking up cues from the audience to banter and kid about. This was the night after
“footgate” so he and Q bantered about that. He is so funny-and his voice takes you out of this world. It was so wonderful-great memories!

  11. Great blog, I look forward everyday to see what great new things will be on this blog about Clay Aiken. He’s such an extraordinary entertainer. I love his voice and his wit. I’m so looking forward to seeing him live again. Come on Clay where are you?

  12. Enjoyed those video’s sooo much. Thank you! You haven’t been to a great concert until you go to a Clay Aiken Concert. He has it all..the voice, the handsome looks, the humor, and he really gets down in some of those songs. I went to the Orlando Show..and I loved every minute of it. Right here waiting for his next tour!!

  13. Clay is one of the few singers that sound better live than recorded. What makes every concert different is his humor, adlibing and storytelling between songs. No two shows are identical.

  14. I saw the tour in North Carolina and it was great. I wish it hadn’t been so hot. I do not know how the performers were able to perform their entire concert…….the weather was cruel.

    BUT….Clay Aiken was great!!
