Clay Aiken – “A New Beginning”

WTTW11, Chicago, was the place to be last night as Tried & True Live debuted on this large PBS station.

According to all reports, the night was a smashing success.  The phone lines were busy all night and having Clay Aiken make a live appearance at the studio made the pledges reach spectacular heights.

The Chicago area fans who were able to watch the show were in awe of not only Clay’s wonderful voice, but the camera work, the lighting and the musicians who joined Clay on stage.  It will be hard to wait until August to see this wonderful show on my area.

The following are a few screenshots from the evening.

I loved Clay’s comment from his blog!

Beginning at 7 CDT tonight… a new beginning!!!

Here’s to an incredible new chapter together… and, hopefully, many more “seven more years” of music!

  1. That is WONDERFUL news! I am so glad this is finally happening for Clay…..and us. As for “seven more years” that is NOT nearly enough in my book. Here’s to more Clay……Always and Forever!

  2. I'm so happy that the special went well. I can't wait till it gets played all over the PBS stations. I hope it introduces a whole new audience to Clay's talent. Yea!!! Here's hoping for a truly great beginning 🙂

  3. From all reports the Special was really “Special”!

I love the excitement on all of the boards and I cannot wait to see it for myself!.

  4. I was fortunate to be able to hear some of the concert last night. "Unchained Melody" had me shaking and in tears. I'm sure Clay has gained a lot of fans in the past 24 hours and will gain many more when the special airs nationwide.

  5. It was very exciting last night. Those phones were ringing off the hook. I was on the Live Chat and it was very interesting indeed. Finding out what was going on..and what he was wearing..and how his hair looked..you know..all that important stuff. Lol! Got my pledge in and I am happy. Congratulations Clay..it was a success. Can't wait to see it in my neck of the woods.

  6. I’m so happy for Clay that the PBS special went so well. I can’t wait till it comes to my local PBS station. It was exciting just reading along with everyone, but I know it will be MUCH more exciting when I can watch it for myself!
