What a great time to be a fan of Clay Aiken. His name is everywhere! Clay certainly creates more buzz than most other celebrities, including all the past idols.
It is always fun to find out more about the people that respect Clay and his talent. After having the opportunity to listen to Josh Berman at the Outfest on Sunday, I wanted to find out more about him. Josh is the Executive Producer, Creator and writer for Drop Dead Diva.
Josh Berman began his writing career on the first season of the hit CBS drama series “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.” He remained with the series for six seasons, and exited as an executive producer. While working on “CSI,” Berman earned two Emmy nominations.
Berman also spent four seasons as a writer and consulting producer on the Fox series “Bones,” and created, executive produced and wrote for the Fox drama series “Vanished” and “Killer Instinct.”
Berman was formerly a creative executive at NBC Studios. He has graduate degrees in law and business from Stanford University and was a Fulbright Scholar to Australia, where he earned a master’s in history at the University of Sydney. In 2005, Television Week named Berman as one of the top 10 people under 35 to watch in the industry, for their annual “Hot List.”
There is a wonderful new interview with Josh about the up-coming episode of Drop Dead Diva. The following is only a short snippet of the interview.
One of the things I like about this season is that you have these guest stars who are playing against types. You had LeAnn Rimes in the season premiere and Clay Aiken in this episode playing characters they’ve never had the chance to play before.
Absolutely and we talk to the actors beforehand and we really want to write them a role they can just sink their teeth into and have fun with. Clay Aiken, I just got on the phone with him and I said I really want you in this episode, here’s a character I’m considering, and we kind of crafted his character together. Through the process we actually have become friends. He’s actually flying to LA for the Outfest panel for the episode on Sunday. It’s amazing. You have a show like this that’s very empowering to women, empowering to humanity, it gets people excited. And that’s a unique experience for me.

So……..what is this photoshoot for? What do you think? Is it publicity pictures for the Gala, or was it for personal use only, maybe for new pictures at the OFC…..or could it be for a new project? What is your opinion?
I don’t have a clue to what this photo shoot might be for, but it
is interesting and exciting, to all of a sudden, have Clay going in many directions. Just as everyone was immediately worried that
he was going to drop out of sight – he is everywhere!! It’s exactly what we should expect from Clay but he manages to surprise us wonderfully all of the time. Being a fan of Clay’s
promises “NEVER” to be boring !!!! 🙂
Thanks for all the information on Josh Berman, Musicfan. He really is quite an accomplished young man. No wonder he and Clay hit it off…they are both so intelligent. You know, I never heard of DDD before I knew that Clay would be on it. Now..it's all over the place with this new episode coming up on Sunday. I don't recall ever seeing so much buzz for an episode before. It's all good It's good for Clay, and good for bring awareness to people.
As for the photoshoot…I really have no idea. At first I thought maybe pictures for Parker's 3rd birthday, but it doesn't sound personal…and then the news of it being on a rooftop…so I really don't know, unless it is for the Gala. Would love new pictures over at the OFC as well… I won't lie…any new pictures are always welcomed…we usually can not get enough pics of Clay..but new ones would be nice… I guess we'll see what they are for.
I would love for it to be for a new album, but I know that's not gonna happen. I'm thinking it's to update the OFC. But the possibilities are endless. 🙂
Very interesting info about Josh Berman. Reminds me of Clay in a certain way. Both are intelligent and very well spoken. Though Clay speaks a little faster, Josh does get his points across same as Clay. Their answers are common sensical and very well thought out. Glad they have become friends.
Hmmm…..what can that photo shoot pertain to? My out on the limb guess – an ad campaign for his next project. I'm guessing Broadway. Well that's what I'm hoping for anyway!

I heard Ruben say that he and Clay were working on something together. Possibly a onto abhor for a duet album or for a mini concert tour in the Fall-maybe a Christmas tour? I like the idea of a photo shoot for a Broadway stint. Maybe he will be in the show with Harry Connick, Jr-On a Clear Day You Can See Forever, which was Rumored back in the Spring.
