Clay Aiken – Tweet on Marquee Blogs – CNN

Clay Aiken is mentioned on the CNN Marquee Blog site at CNN.

Overheard: Clay Aiken Draws Line Between Himself and Akin

As one particular Akin dominates headlines, another Aiken has taken to differentiating his stance, perhaps in case someone out there becomes confused.

While Republican Rep. Todd Akin is in the midst of a firestorm sparked by his comments regarding rape, “American Idol” runner-up Clay Aiken made it clear that he doesn’t share the other Akin’s views.

“2nd place on ‘Idol.’ 2nd place on ‘Apprentice.’ And now thanks to @reptoddakin I’m only the second stupidest Aiken!” the singer and reality star tweeted Tuesday.

Rep. Akin said in an interview with KTVI, when responding to whether he thought abortion should be legal in cases of rape, that “if it’s a legitimate rape, the female body has ways to try and shut the whole thing down. … I think the punishment should be on the rapist, and not attacking the child.”

We guess we see how those two last names might get switched around, and “Idol” and “Celebrity Apprentice” alum Aiken tweeted Tuesday for the record: “Lets B clear- THIS Aiken RESPECTS a womans right 2 choose. Maybe @reptoddakin could use some lessons from me on the female body! Haha #irony”

Please go over to the site.   We need to let the site know that news about Clay brings lots of hits to their site!

  1. If I was on twitter I would reply good one Clay for this tweet. As for the tweet about being a swing state . . . I can't help but deeply relate! If things weren't bad enough before . . . They went picked a VP candidate from my state. OMG . . . That has a whole of our state talking. It's like a popularity contest instead of an intelligent debate.

  2. Won't get into politics here, but couldn't they have found a smiling picture of Clay to go
with the article instead of a serious one? There are thousands of great pics. of Clay.
    He's our gorgeous singerman!
