Clay Aiken – Stop, Breath, and Catch Up!

Sometime you need to just stop, take a deep breath and try to catch up.  Hopefully, you can get things done and feel a lot better.

Today is one of the days…I really need to catch up!

Anna reminded me that I had forgotten to post any results of the last few surveys we took on some of the blogs.  Hmm…lets do it today.

On March 24thCharming, Serious, With A Touch of Humor.  I asked you to choose your favorite professional picture.  There were 14 pictures and the voting was very close.  There was a tie between picture 4 and picture 14.  Each one received 13% of the votes

On March 28thI Have A Bunch Of Hoodies.  You voted for three different “hoodies”.  Each received 20% of the votes. Numbers 4, 5, and 8 were you favorites.

On April 2ndMr. Business.  We voted on our favorite picture from last season’s Celebrity Apprentice.  There was a clear winner in this group.  Picture #5 received 30% of the votes.  No one voted for numbers 6 and 7.  I really liked them all, especially when I clicked on them and got the larger pictures.

On April 2, the Huff Post – Gay Voices published an article about Magic Johnson’s son who happens to be gay.  Magic said:

Cookie and I love EJ and support him in every way.  We’re very proud of him.

EJ is a student at New York University.

At the end of the article, the Huff Post uploaded a slide show of celebrity LGBT families.  Clay Aiken is #8 in the rotation.  There are 33 pictures and each family has a story.  I found it interesting.  I think you will too.  You can see it at HUFFPOST

Before I finish this up, I would just like to mention that if you have any suggestions for topics on the blog, I would love to hear about it.  The longer Clay is out of the public eye, the harder it gets to think of a topic.  I love posting pictures, but I also like to research and write about the music business, social networking and Clay’s favorite charities.

That being said, I can’t wait to write NEWS about Clay and his new projects.  I hope we get some information “Soon”!

Oh…one more thing.  I do hope you will take the time to re-tweet Clay when he tweets.  Those responses are important and are reviewed by PR people and others in the entertainment field.  Comments and re-tweets are loved by anyone who writes.

Onward and upward!  Let’s hope we hear something from Clay today!!!

  1. Thanks for the link to the Huffington Post. I always love to see Clay mentions. I hope we get some news too. I’m missing Clay.

  2. Was wondering how you know tweets are reviewed by PR people? First I've ever heard of it. I can't believe someone cares that Clay eats two jars of pickles…..just saying.

    • Sue…sorry you missed the blog titled The Power of Communication that was posted on 3-22. On that blog, I posted some quotes about the importance of re-tweets. There were hundreds of articles and I chose just a few to quote.

I can assure you that I do a lot of reading before I write on a topic. Of course that does not make me an expert, but I do try to be somewhat knowledgable.

As for the pickle tweet? Well, I think that one must use a bit of common sense when tweeting and re-tweeting.

The point of re-tweeting is that PR, people in advertising, and people who look for celebrities to hire, back, or support, look at numbers. The twitter numbers are combined with other stats and the artist is rated (See Big Champagne).

Certainly the decision to re-tweet is yours. If you don't feel it is important, don't do it. For me, it is such an easy thing to do and take less than a minute. It is one way I can support Clay.

  3. I don't know how you come up with something different to write about everyday. If any ideas pop in my head, I'll be sure to let you know.

  4. Hi,
I have a 16 yr old son with autism who is a big Clay Aiken fan. When Clay was on American Idol, my son would come running to the tv when he heard Ryan say his name. When he was done singing, my son would go back to what he was doing before Clay sang. When they did the tour that year, they came to Buffalo. I brought Casey down to the arena hoping he could meet his idol. We waited a long time but never got to meet Clay. They were doing an interview. At least we were in the same building as Clay lol. I wasn't able to bring him to the concert as he wouldn't of been able to handle the noise, well screaming lol. Yesterday we stopped at a thrift store to see if they had video tapes his older autistic brother would like. Casey wanted a baseball t-shirt so while looking he found a Clay Aiken t-shirt. He was so excited. It was from a tour a few years ago and had the first picture that tied for fave pic. I don't know who donated the shirt, but thanks so much, you made my special teen very happy!!!

  5. I love all your blogs! You teach me so much…every time I come here, you've got a great picture (or 2 or 3 or well, you know I love them all) or informative article about something that's a passion of Clay's and I personally love it all!!! Thank you a million times over. Like Becky, Clay's music has been instrumental in my daughter, ChrissyJoy's, life (he superpower is autism too) and in my home, his voice brings calm and harmony.
