Well, guess who ended up as one of the winners of this poll? Yes…it was the talented Sir Robin. Opps…I meant Clay Aiken!

Last week talk-show host Wendy Williams stepped into the long-running Broadway revival of Chicago, while earlier this spring, “Glee” star Jane Lynch joined the cast of Annie. Playbill.com asked our readers who some of their favorite replacements were throughout Broadway history.
Broadway has a rich history of replacements, from Pearl Bailey in Hello, Dolly!, to Harvey Fierstein and Rosie O’Donnell in Fiddler on the Roof, Bryan Batt in La Cage aux Folles, Bernadette Peters in A Little Night Music and Betty Buckley in Sunset Boulevard.
Here are some of our reader’s favorite Broadway replacements.
Nancy Housteau: Clay Aiken in Monty Python’s Spamalot. He was the perfect Sir Robin. Blended with the rest of the cast perfectly.

Goodmorning! While I wasn't in the audience at Spamalot when Clay was there, I was there in spirit! I've seen his performance through clack and he was fantastic! I wanted to vote on the poll at the Playbill site, but I couldn't figure out where to vote! LOL!
Yay! Glad Clay did well. I would love to see hiim on a Broadway show again.
Clay was great in Spamalot, I've seen it thru Clack and it was so entertaining. I couldn't figure out where to vote either.
I didn't see Spamalot either but I also watched the clack. I goes to show that he is an magnificent performer!!!

Perhaps because of all the votes and love that Clay got in this poll, some Broadway producer will consider him for another stint on the Great White Way. Clay has proved himself worthy to perform in a play or musical on Broadway once again.
