Do you remember what you were doing in November of 2007? I bet Clay Aiken remembers what he was doing the first week of November. He was in the studio, trying to be Smarter Than A 5th Grader.
Clay appeared during sweeps week in a celebrity edition of the show. All celebrities were guaranteed $25,000, but tried to win up to $1 million.
Each contestant was given eleven questions to answer correctly to win the million. It was no surprise to see Clay answering correctly for the first nine questions. He chose to walk away when Clay had some hesitation about the tenth question. He walked away with $350,000 for the Bubel-Aiken Foundation(The National Inclusion Project). Clay commented that the money would fund 30 summer camps in 2008.
Clay did very well. The following are the amounts won by all the celebrities during the week.
Clay Aiken 350,000
Miss America 2007, Lauren Nelson 175,000
Tony Hawk 175,000
Regis Philbin 175,000
Kellie Pickler 50,000
Billy Bush 25,000 (guessed and was wrong on the 300K question)
Fox disabled all the videos of this appearance by Clay. I am not sure why.
Wish we could see him on the show again!

Oh yes I certainly DID see Clay on this show! He was amazing! I can't remember the question he chose not to answer but we do know that he DID know the answer after all but wasn't perfectly sure and didn't want to jeporadize the money for NIP. Go Clay!!
It was something about politics or the Declaration of Indepenedence I think. I have the rerun on my dvr,…..will look after work today!
I missed SO much but a few months ago my sister texted me to put on the game show network because CLAY was on a rerun of 5th Grader!! I saw just a little over half of the show- he was so cute and self deprecating as usual!

Yes, I did watch it and I taped the show so I can watch Clay win $350,000 over and over again. Happy Birthday to Clay's Grandma. We can celebrate Clay's birthday later this month.
I saw this show with Clay thru Clack Unlimited and Clay was great, goes to show you how smart this man really is, wish I could see it again but Clack Unlimited has been cancelled due to insufficient funding, too bad. Thanks Musicfan

yes i saw this show and clay was amazing as usual and im sad that clack unlimated is gone its been canseld due to not enough money insanificient funding its a dam shame

Yes, C.U. is gone and the site that took it over is not giving out vault keys!!! Stinks for all of us-especially fans that have a lot of catching up to do!! I think we missed vault keys by about a month! 🙁 sad!!!
