Clay Aiken – Making A Lasting Difference

On Thursday morning, the Piedmont Health Care in Siler City posted an informative post about Clay Aiken on their Facebook page.  They wrote:

Clay Aiken, recording artist, and now running as a Democrat for the US House of Representatives in North Carolina’s Second Congressional District, visited Piedmont Health’s Siler City Community Health Center on August 1st, 2014. Along with greeting staff, patients, and taking pictures, Clay also met a number of key people to talk about community health, learn more about community health issues and needs, and discuss his views on healthcare…

The entire article includes much more information on Clay and his visit the Health Center, including more pictures.  You can read it at PIEDMONT

On Thursday, Clay and his team posted a new poster for the fundraiser on August 21st.  It is eye-catching and makes you want to read it. What do you think?

Congratulations To

Clay Aiken

Jaymes Foster

and

Parker Foster Aiken

This is a special day for all three of you!

Children are special and now you have 6 years filled with excitement, laughter, joy and love.

We wish many more years of the same!

The history of Birthday celebrations can be traced back to before the rise of Christianity.  In pagan culture, it was believed that evil spirits visited people on their birthdays.  To protect the person having the birthday from the spirits, friends would surround him and make a lot of noise.  They hoped that this would scare away the evil spirits.

Here are some fun facts about birthdays that will make you smile.

More people celebrate their birthdays in August than in any other month (about 9% of all people).

More people are born on October 5 in the United States than any other day. October 5 holds a not-so-surprising significance, as conception would have fallen on New Year’s Eve.

Happy Birthday was the first song to be performed in outer space. It was sung by the Apollo IX astronauts on March 8, 1969.

Happy Birthday to You brings in approximately 2 million dollars in licensing revenue each year, according to Warner Chappell and a Forbes Magazine article

Are you looking for a way to honor Parker on his birthday?

Why not donate to The National Inclusion Project in his name?

Just $10.00 will make a big difference!
