Clay Aiken – Opening The Eyes Of The World

Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life.

~ Confucius

Clay Aiken was introduced to the national stage in 2003, but long before that time, he was an active advocate for the rights of children.

It is always wonderful to see the amazing pictures of Clay with children throughout the world. His trips with UNICEF opened the eyes of the world to his advocacy for children. But it is just as exciting to learn about his work with children before the eyes of the world were watching.

So…Please check out the following  pictures of Clay Aiken, standing with and for children everywhere!

Clay was a counselor at Y-Camp for many years.

The following are quotes from Clay’s book, Learning To Sing..Hearing The Music in Your Life

“I’m often asked what I would do to change the world if I had the power to do anything.

In my ideal world, no child would suffer. Charitable instincts would prevail. Those who could give, would give. There would be global acceptance of all different types of people. “

Another quote:

“There are so many kids in this world who could use another person looking out for them. Someone who will help them to discover their strengths and rise above their weaknesses. Someone who offers another opinion of their worth.

Why not me?”

Camp Gonzo

“Kids without disabilities learn a lot from kids with disabilities. They are so many things that are so much bigger than what to wear each day.

I don’t feel sorry for children with disabilities. I feel excited for them for the opportunities that they have.

I could post pages of wonderful quotes and pictures.

  1. Why not you indeed Clay!!! Always putting children and others first. You were put on this earth, to be the "Voice of Hope" for so many…..Thank You for being that voice! One man can make a difference!

  2. Why would someone come here and bash Clay? Does that still happen in the real world musicfan? I am amazed! All he does is good things! Thank you for all you bring to us! 66 days and counting till November 4th. The Gala is going to be awesome and I hope the press comes to record it all. Does anybody think that could happen?? It would be wonderful promotion for a great candidate for Congress!

  3. Clay opened my eyes to the world of kids with special needs and taught me all about acceptance, inclusion and equality among other things. He will always be my teacher.

Keep up the amazing work writing articles and moderating this wonderful fan site, musicfan and CANN admins. I and many others are reaping the benefits from it, and am FOREVER grateful. This is such a wonderful place to be for those who seek truth. Clay has a good heart and working tirelessly for others is his passion and purpose in life.

There will always be all kinds of people in this world, we cannot please everyone and make everyone happy or satisfied, they own that themselves. What is important is a clear and wholesome purpose and CANN sets such a great example. We are thrilled to come to such a well organized site and can never thank you enough. 🙂

  4. Thanks for those wonderful pictures showing Clay doing what he loves. Love Clay the singer, but also love seeing Clay the caring man with the big heart in action.

I'm so hoping he will win in November–he has already made such a difference–it'd be great for him to be able to do it on a larger scale.

  5. One of the things I have always loved and admired about Clay is his work with children. I am proud to be a supporter of NIP and a team leader for Wrapping for Inclusion! The interest, surprise and enthusiasm I see from folks when I tell them about NIP is very rewarding!
Keep up the good work Clay!!
