On Monday, the name Clay Aiken was getting a lot of use! After Clay tweeted about the unfortunate incident with Miss Universe, many people saw the humor in his tweets. As I am writing this, Clay has 12,834 retweets on the following tweet:

CLAY AIKEN POKES FUN AT HIMSELF AFTER STEVE HARVEY’S MISS UNIVERSE SNAFU
Oh what a different world it might have been if Steve Harvey ever crossed paths with North Carolina’s Clay Aiken.
Harvey is in hot water after wrongly announcing the winner of Sunday night’s Miss Universe competition. Aiken seized the opportunity to poke fun at himself.
Aiken even mentioned his failed bid at winning a seat in Congress (Aiken lost to Republican incumbent U.S. Rep. Renee Ellmers 59 to 41 percent).
Aiken had name recognition as the 2003 runner-up on American Idol, but was still largely considered the underdog, especially after Republicans re-drew the congressional map in 2011. It’s a rural and mostly conservative district that stretches from Asheboro east to Cary, including parts of Apex, Fayetteville and Sanford.
Clay is very serious when it comes to the world we live in! However, he has a quick-wit and pokes fun at himself when it comes to his own life! Clay has always been a winner in my eyes!
I love how Clay is always so prepared and really has intelligent ideas to bring to the table.

I have to be honest in saying I had to stare at Clay's photos for half an hour before I could concentrate on his incredible arsenal of knowledge!
Today's Congress remains a sorry mess, and we are desperate for men and women who can put our nation FIRST! It is critical that we have individuals in government and in the military who will work together with our allies to thwart our enemies. The clock is ticking! I pray Clay will continue appearing with shows like the Third Rail to assist in bringing truth to the U.S. and God back into the heartland!
