The world took a deep breath Wednesday when it was announced that Senator John McCain had been diagnosed with a brain tumor. The Mayo Clinic said the senator and his family are considering treatment options, including a combination of chemotherapy and radiation.
Senator McCain currently serves as the senior Senator from Arizona. He has held that position since 1987. He was the Republican nominee in the 2008 presidential election. During the Vietnam War, McCain is shot down and captured by North Vietnamese forces. He was held as a POW for more than five years.
There were many people who sent messages to McCain. On twitter we saw:

Clay Aiken and Meghan are good friends. They have very different political ideas, but respect each other and their opinions. Clay was a guest on her radio show for about a year. I remember when Clay was invited to her home for an election party.
Meghan, please know that we are all sending positive thoughts to you and your entire family.
