Happy August To All!!
August is known for many things, including the dog days of summer, National Watermelon Day, and National Smile Week. But there are many other fun facts associated with the last full month of summer.
Did you know that:
- Fans of Elvis Presley mourn each Aug. 16th, the day the famed singer died in 1977. ( Wait…that’s my birthday!!!)
- On Aug. 24th in 79 A.D., the volcano Mount Vesuvius erupted, destroying the city of Pompeii and others.
- On Aug. 21, 1911, the Mona Lisa was stolen from the Louvre Gallery and not recovered for two years.

August 2, 2015, Clay was helping out with the auditions of the last year of American Idol.
In August of 2014, Clay was busy running for Congress!
Clay was in Ogunquit, Maine and his name was Joseph!
On August 3, 2007, Clay was in Pala and sang to “Flat Clay”!

08-08-2008! Parker turns 9 years old! My granddaughter turned 9 this year as well! He must be quite a big boy! Happy Birthday Parker!
Can’t believe that Parker will be 9! I understand Clay trying to protect him, but I would love to see what he looks like now. I’ve seen some pictures of when he was about one and he was adorable! Happy Birthday, Parker!
