Clay Aiken -Holding Onto The Things You Love

Memory is a way of holding onto the things you love,

the things you are,

the things you never want to lose.

~From the television show The Wonder Years

Today, I found a You Tube that really made me remember a fabulous day.  The following video is from the last concert of Clay Aiken’s Tried & True Tour.  It was held in San Francisco, California.  That’s my corner of the world!

The video reminded me of the fun dinner we had before the concert.  There were about 50 to 75 people who ate dinner in a private room on the 2nd floor of a old but cute diner.  It had an elevator, but it held one person at a time.  I think most riders crossed their fingers as they went through the door!

Do you recognize anyone??

I also remember all the Glow Sticks.  A group of my friends all got together and sent me boxes of Glow Sticks for the last concert.  I remember getting all the diners to help put them together and take lots of them to pass out to the audience so the theatre would…”GLOW”.  (Thanks, guys!!)

Of course, the most important part of the evening was the wonderful concert by Clay Aiken and his band.  I will never forget that concert.  It is a memory I want to remember forever!!

I hope you enjoy this video as much as I do.

It’s funny, it’s beautiful and it is a wonderful memory !

  1. Clay has stolen my heart, with his beautiful voice and heart! Thank you, CANN for starting my Sunday and all days with wonderful Claymemories!

  2. So much fun watching these videos! Wish we still had these wonderful concerts and tours to be looking forward to!! Makes me teary-eyed to think they are over.

  3. I saw this show in Cleveland and smiled the whole way home (2 + hrs.). Clay can bring happiness whenever he performs. I'm so glad Clay didn't object to fans filming his concerts because now we can still see him singing anytime.

  4. Thanks for sharing this; such a sweetie… Makes me teary-eyed too, but thanks to the Clack takers he was joshing, lol, we can always play him again! Can’t thank you guys enough!!!
