Clay Aiken – One Of The Most Visited Landmarks In The World.

All eyes were on Paris yesterday…

The Cathedral of Notre Dame was on fire.  Its central needle collapsed and now there is no roof.

Notre Dame construction began in 1163 and was completed in 1345.

That means the cathedral was there during the time of the Crusades.

I had tears in my eyes.

It is an immeasurable loss.

When I don’t really know what to say…

I listen to Clay Aiken sing Bridge Over Troubled Water.

It makes me feel a bit better.

Bridge Over Troubled Water

When you’re weary
Feeling small
When tears are in your eyes
I will dry them all

I’m on your side
When times get rough
And friends just can’t be found
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down

Sail on Silver Girl,
Sail on by
Your time has come to shine
All your dreams are on their way

See how they shine
If you need a friend
I’m sailing right behind
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will ease your mind
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will ease your mind!

Still So Beautiful!

  1. Such very sad news today with the terrible fire of the Notre Dame Cathedral, Paris. My heart is heavy – especially being Holy Week and so close to Easter! There are no words.

Clay's "Bridge Over Troubled Water helps – thank you so much for the words and the video!

  2. My heart dropped when I saw Notre Dame burning! I dearly love Paris. Hopefully, France will rebuild the fallen cathedral! Clay's song of BOTW is inspiring!

  3. I attended a class yesterday on the 'Glory of the Gothic' about the architecture & engineering of the cathedrals of the late middle ages in Europe. Half way through the class a man came in to the classroom to announce that Notre Dame Cathedral was on fire! What a shock! I pray that no one was seriously injured and that someday the cathedral will be restored.
