Clay Aiken “…Cause You See The Real Me”

Natalie Grant is a popular singer-songwriter of contemporary Christian music.  Born in Seattle, Washington, Natalie makes her home in Nashville with her husband and their three daughters; Grace Ana and Isabella Noelle (born February 16, 2007) and Sadie Rose (born December 17, 2010)

Natalie is looked upon as an amazing and talented lady who plays a prominent role in Christian Music.  She has five Dove Awards for the best female artist and was also awarded the Gospel Music Association Female Vocalist of the Year four times.

Natalie released her last album, titled Hurricane, in 2013. In 2005, Natalie released her album titled Awaken.  One of the most beautiful songs on the album was The Real Me.  The poignant lyrics seem to express a search for peace from the push and pull of being in the limelight.  Natalie’s book, “The Real Me: Being the Girl God Sees” was available to the public in January of 2005.

Clay Aiken included The Real Me on his album On My Way Here. He also sang the song on many of his live concerts.

The following is a wonderful video of Clay singing this wistful song.

  1. This inspirational song is truly special. I would so love for Clay to do a whole CD of inspirational (Christian music), When my daughter had an M&G in Cleveland for the T&T Tour, she asked him if he might consider it? He told her he would love to do that but didn't think it would be possible at that time – sure would be a dream of mine! It would be so beautiful – included would be "How Great Thou Art"!

  2. Thank you for the pictures and the video. The words and the music are beautiful. Clay's voice is perfect for this song.
