Clay Aiken – Let The Music Take You Away

Relax, ease back in your seats and let the music take you wherever it does.

~ John Denver

Annie’s Song

You fill up my senses
Like a night in a forest
Like the mountains in springtime
Like a walk in the rain
Like a storm in the desert
Like a sleepy blue ocean
You fill up my senses
Come fill me again

Come, let me love you
Let me give my life to you
Let me drown in your laughter
Let me die in your arms
Let me lay down beside you
Let me always be with you
Come, let me love you
Come love me again

~ John Denver

Denver wrote this for his then-wife Ann Martell after their first separation and near break up of their marriage in 1974.

He was reflecting on all the joy he found in his marriage and his relief that they were back together.

Clay Aiken sang this lovely song on April 7, 2016 for the Final Finale of American Idol-Fox

He stood on a black stage with a spotlight right on him.

Anyone would know he is a star.

Clay’s performance was beautiful.

I just wish he could have performed 2 or 3 more songs!!

Did you watch the Final Finale of American Idol – Fox?

Do you watch the “New” American Idol?

  1. Yes – I did watch the finale of American Idol and absolutely loved Clay singing

Annie’s Song. I wished he could have sung more, too. Seems he said he wasn’t thrilled with singing that song – he thought it boring??!! I haven’t watched AI since the Finale – satisfied with listening to Clay songs on U-tube or my own CD’s and D/L’s. Of course all that you put on here is loved along with info and pictures! Thank you for doing this.
