Clay Aiken – Have You Voted Yet?

“It is not enough to just want change…You have to go and make change by voting.”  ~Taylor Swift

“Someone struggled for your right to vote.  Use it!”

 ~ Susan B. Anthony

On yesterday, Clay Aiken tweeted a beautiful message and video of Barbra Streisand singing the song, Lady Liberty.  He wrote:

My dear friend, @DesmondChild really channeled his inner-Sondheim for this INCREDIBLE song for @BarbraStreisand… and they are both putting me through all the emotions on this eve of a most consequential day. Check it! #LadyLiberty

The song certainly brought a tear to my eyes.  It is a beautiful song.

I hope you will take a moment to watch the video and hear the beautiful voice and arrangement.

And….. It might be nice if you could send Clay a message, retweet, etc. to let him know you appreciate his message.

Whenever I think of Political times, I think back to the 2004 and the beautiful songs that Clay sang at the “Capitol Fourth”.  Today I am posting 2 videos from that beautiful concert.  I hope you will like them.

I know this is a difficult time for us.

But, let’s be kind to each other and remember

what a privilege it is to be an American!

  1. Listening to Clay sing these patriotic songs today makes me feel like the country may be able to come together after the votes are counted. I voted absentee on Oct 9 at the drop off location in my county and got an email message that my vote had been received. God Bless the USA!

  2. I voted absentee three weeks ago absentee is safe as long as you vote early My two sons wanted to be in line they went to voting sight at six o:clock Daughter-in-law and grandson went at nine 0:clock We have other grandsons who live in Yorktown Virginia, Chicago and Seattle. We made sure we voted as a family. I love listening to Clay, brings back memories. I wish he would sing again. i AM EXCIDED to watch the voting today, don't want to miss a thing. Guess I should get a nap probable a long night and a few days. Everybody have a blessed day.

  3. I early voted for my candidates and I feral very proud! Thank you, CANN for the beautiful video from the legendary Barbara Streisand. And, of course our own Clay!
