Clay Aiken -An Important Part

On January 22, 2016,  a young man contacted Clay with an amazing story that he told in 4 tweets.  I am putting the 4 tweets together:

When I was 4, I turned down an audition that we flew out to California for because I didn’t want to say that I loved hot wheels.

Purely by coincidence, walking down Hollywood Boulevard later that day. We came across the set for a Clay Aiken music video.

He chose me to be in his video without even knowing I was an actor. He hung out with us for a while on set and in between shots.

And that’s the story of how me and my mom had our 3 seconds of fame with 😂

Clay answered Joel:

You make me feel so old! Ha ha. But you’re great in the video and I’m so glad you were a part of it!

thank you! I’ll definitely never forget that day!

Lets watch and see if we can see Joel in the video!!

WOW…It’s been a long time since I watched this video!  It’s still fun!

  1. Loved hearing this story – and happy Clay so graciously sent a tweet to this grown up little boy in the video. That had to be a special moment for both of them. Clay was having such a good time making that video and there was so much excitement in the crowd!

Loved seeing this today – thank you!

  2. I do remember that video that was shot so long ago. There were a several in the audience that I recall…the guy with the beautiful long blond hair wearing a baseball cap, the little boy in the NY shirt and the girl in the orange tank top who was tearing up over Clay. The whole thing looked spontaneous. It fooled me.

  3. Thank you for the pictures and the video. I did find Joel in the video. It has been a long time since I watch the video. It was fun. I can not believe how long it has been since the song Invisible was sung by Clay. Thank you for sharing. Thank you CANN.

  4. That was the first video, I bet it was exciting for Clay It sure was for us. A lot has happened since then. I wish he would sing again. I miss him so much.
