Clay Aiken – Let The Music Take You Away

Relax, ease back in your seats and let the music take you wherever it does.

~ John Denver

Annie’s Song

You fill up my senses
Like a night in a forest
Like the mountains in springtime
Like a walk in the rain
Like a storm in the desert
Like a sleepy blue ocean
You fill up my senses
Come fill me again

Come, let me love you
Let me give my life to you
Let me drown in your laughter
Let me die in your arms
Let me lay down beside you
Let me always be with you
Come, let me love you
Come love me again

~ John Denver

~~~
Denver wrote this for his then-wife Ann Martell after their first separation and near break up of their marriage in 1974.
He was reflecting on all the joy he found in his marriage and his relief that they were back together.
Clay Aiken sang this lovely song on April 7, 2016 for the Final Finale of American Idol-Fox
 He stood on a black stage with a spotlight right on him.
 Anyone would know he is a star.
Clay’s performance was beautiful.
I just wish he could have performed 2 or 3 more songs!!
Did you watch the Final Finale of American Idol – Fox?
Do you watch the “New” American Idol?
  1. I did watch the final finale of American Idol – Clay definitely looked like a star!
    No I don’t watch it anymore – I saw a few ads and it looks like they are trying to glitz it up, but it will never be the same. I do like “Annie’s Song” and as usual Clay sang it perfectly!
    Thank you – loved the pics and the video!
  2. This performance was one of my absolute favorites!!! The way he looked in that black suit, alone on the stage with the spotlight was sublime! I couldn’t stop watching it over and over! Thank you for bringing it to us today.
    I don’t watch AI anymore. Idol found-18 years ago!
  3. Beautifully performed by OMC! Arsenio Hall quoted on Celebrity Apprentice that Clay doesn’t need a big production or flashy lights just his pure clear voice is all you need to enjoy his performance. This song was so fitting for Clay; very emotional and moving!
  4. One of my favourite Clay performances. I thought he did a beautiful rendition of “Annie’s Song”. He was, and is, a star!
