Clay Aiken – Two Talented Musicians

Today, many people saw that Clay Aiken had posted a picture and a lovely note to Ruben.

I loved the picture and read the note about his relationship with Ruben Studdard.

It is a beautiful! note and starts:

We don’t get to choose our family. Most family is predetermined by blood; some are predestined by God to come into our lives.
I’ve got one brother who was born into my family and one brother who the good Lord introduced me to in 2003.

On this day, TWENTY years ago, @realrubenstuddard saw me sitting at a table in the bar of the Glendale Hilton during #HollywoodWeek of @americanidol and befriended me trying to get some pointers on how to score with the ladies!

Clay added some pictures of the two singers….My favorite was a new picture of the two friends:

Isn’t that a great picture?

Make sure to read the note Clay wrote about his relationship with a wonderful “Brother”.

And…I am sure Clay would love seeing you all let him know about the picture and message!

Let me know you can see the picture and the short message Clay shared with us!

Have a Wonderful Sunday!

  1. Clay is such a good friend and Ruben deserves to have that with all that they have been through together. I am sure good and bad. They appreciate and love each other – that is very special to find. I have a feeling they will be friends for a long time in the future! May God continue to bless this friendship as he has done for all of these years!

  2. Thank you for the info. I did not see the message from Clay. I believe you can never have to many friends. To have the great relationship between Clay and Ruben is special after 20 years. It started in a bar in Hollywood and now still friends. This post from you made my day special. I love the two pictures of Clay and Ruben that you have in the blog today. Thank you CANN.

  3. Twenty years ago, two total strangers named Clay Aiken and Ruben Studdard competed in a talent show called American Idol. Little did they know, the competition between the two would become non-existent. Instead, they found a lifelong friendship! They have been there for each other through good and bad times. Love the photos, and the note from Clay to his “brother” Ruben! Thank you, CANN for sharing!
