Clay Aiken – The Internet Exploded!

By musicfan123 · Comments 12531(10)http%3A%2F%2Fclaynewsnetwork.com%2F2011%2F10%2F13%2Fclay-aiken-the-internet-exploded%2FClay+Aiken+-+The+Internet+Exploded%212011-10-13+08%3A18%3A10musicfan123http%3A%2F%2Fclaynewsnetwork.com%2F%3Fp%3D12531
Thursday, October 13th, 2011

What do Piers Morgan, Clint Black, Sharon Osbourne, Bret Michaels, Marlee Matlin, and Clay Aiken all have in common?  Well, if you can believe People Magazine, they all have been or will be contestants on the TV show Celebrity Apprentice.

For the last few weeks, there have been rumors all over the Internet that Clay Aiken was going to join the cast at Celebrity Apprentice, but the news was limited to rumors and hints.  On Wednesday, People.com wrote an article and named Clay and Debbie Gibson as members of the 12th season of Celebrity Apprentice.

Quickly, almost every news site on the net picked up the news.  Articles could be found on sites from CNN to PopWatch, from Broadway World to PopCrush. Clay’s name still elicits lots of buzz.

Posts overwhelmed Facebook and Twitter.  In fact, at about 8pm, Pacific Time, Clay was on the trending list on Twitter.  It was hard to keep up!!

So, for those of you who didn’t sign on to the Internet until late in the evening, I am listing some of the sites that had something to say about Clay and his appearance on Celebrity Apprentice.

People.com  – see the post before this

CNN Entertainment  – http://www.cnn.com/SHOWBIZ/

They could have chosen any celebrity but they chose to show 2 pictures of Clay!!

UPI – http://www.upi.com/Entertainment_News/Music/2011/10/12/Report-Aiken-Gibson-set-for-Apprentice/UPI-23231318453148/

Again…the picture they chose a picture of Clay!!

PopWatch – http://popwatch.ew.com/2011/10/12/clay-aiken-teresa-giudice-celebrity-apprentice/

This site rated the chances of a win on the show and had the following to say about Clay.

Clay Aiken
Strengths
: Simon Cowell’s heart grew three sizes the day he first met Aiken. Surely, Trump’s heart — or, at least, his hair — will do the same, right? And if Celebrity Apprentice‘s history has proven anything, it’s that well-intentioned singers always have the advantage. (See: Previous winners Bret Michaels and John Rich.) Also, thanks to a degree from the University of North Carolina, Aiken may be one of the only contestants with a resumé that expands beyond pulling out rich ladies’ hair.
Weaknesses: Leather. And Don McLean.
Odds
: 2 to 1

BuddyTV – http://t.co/tM1Plc9n

Not the greatest article but an example of the importance of comments from readers.  The writer had to back-pedal for her “gay” remarks!!

PopCrush – http://popcrush.com/debbie-gibson-clay-aiken-celebrity-apprentice/

Not original, but, again a picture of Clay!!

Allieiswired – http://allieiswired.com/archives/2011/10/clay-aiken-will-compete-on-celebrity-apprentice-cast-leaks/

Well, they used a picture from Tried & True and that is good.

BroadwayWorld – http://tv.broadwayworld.com/article/Clay-Aiken-Signs-on-for-CELEBRITY-APPRENTICE-20111012

A nice recap of the People article and a great picture of Clay at the after-party of BroadwayBackwards.

There are many others and I am sure there will be more today.  Keep a lookout and let me know if you find an interesting article.

Remember…hits and comments are important at the sites that write about Clay.  I am not encouraging over-the-top comments, but an acknowledgment that thanks the writer and site for writing about Clay is important.  Remember…these sites need our hits to let them know what is popular.  If the site gets lots of hits and people comment, they are apt to post about the celebrity again.  If they receive few hits and no comments they feel there is no interest and they will write about someone else the next time.

So…here we go!!  Lets keep the positive remarks about Clay on the Internet.  Just think of all the support we can give Clay in this adventure for his charity, The National Inclusion Project!!

Wow, Wednesday was quite a day!! It felt like the Internet had EXPLODED with Clay Aiken and that’s a good thing. It wore me out!!

Clay Aiken – Norm Is Everybody!

By musicfan123 · Comments 11849(8)http%3A%2F%2Fclaynewsnetwork.com%2F2011%2F09%2F06%2Fclay-aiken-norm-is-everybody%2FClay+Aiken+-+Norm+Is+Everybody%212011-09-06+07%3A01%3A36musicfan123http%3A%2F%2Fclaynewsnetwork.com%2F%3Fp%3D11849
Tuesday, September 6th, 2011

I am Norm. You are Norm. Your neighbor is Norm. According to I am Norm, Norm is everybody.

In January 2010, 20 young people from across the country–with and without disabilities–came together in Washington, D.C. to create the I am Norm campaign. These young people designed this campaign to promote the acceptance, respect and inclusion of youth with disabilities.

Have you read about the campaign?  If not, the best way to understand I Am Norm is to visit their webpage and read about the organization.  The following is what they wrote about the campaign:

In January 2010, twenty young people, with and without disabilities, flew from various locations across the United States to meet each other for the very first time in Washington, DC.

We come from diverse backgrounds and places, but we share some common ideas. We believe that diversity makes us stronger, and that discrimination breaks us down. We know that hatred is a learned behavior, and that we can all strive to rise above fear and prejudice. We understand firsthand what we gain when everyone is included in our schools and our communities, and how much we lose when anyone is left out. We are united in our commitment to a world where people of various abilities have equal opportunities.

The youth who met that January wanted to see a change. In just one weekend, we designed a campaign in hopes of bringing about that change. Through this campaign, we hope to raise awareness about inclusion, provide opportunities for youth to share their ideas about inclusion, and promote inclusive practices in schools and communities. We want to encourage the acceptance, respect, and full inclusion of all youth, including those with disabilities, in schools and communities.

We think that people should not have to fit a mold in order to fit into a classroom or a community. We want the world to abandon its perceptions of normalcy, and to learn to embrace and appreciate diversity among individuals. We want to show people to see that real inclusion can only happen by bringing together diverse groups of people and ensuring that everyone is supported, understood, and respected.

We are an initiative designed by young people to promote the acceptance, respect, and full inclusion of youth with disabilities in schools and communities. Our work is driven by a Youth Inclusion Taskforce and supported by a coalition of youth-serving partner organizations.

The following message was sent by Jerry Aiken on Sunday from the Dragon*con event:

WE are I AM Norm. This is a program within National Inclusion. We work in conjunction with other funders and are focusing on youth movement to build awareness about inclusion. National Inclusion receives the funds and manages the program.

So…lets all help out and get those voting fingers back to work!!

  • You can still vote 3 ways: Facebook, our direct Pepsi page, and text.

Clay Aiken – Are You Streaming?

By musicfan123 · Comments 11367(8)http%3A%2F%2Fclaynewsnetwork.com%2F2011%2F08%2F10%2Fclay-aiken-are-you-streaming%2FClay+Aiken+-+Are+You+Streaming%3F2011-08-10+08%3A36%3A19musicfan123http%3A%2F%2Fclaynewsnetwork.com%2F%3Fp%3D11367
Wednesday, August 10th, 2011

As I am sitting here typing on my computer, I am listening to a diverse mix of musical tracks that include Linda Eder, Bryn Terfel, Carly Simon, The Cincinnati Pops Orchestra and my favorite, Clay Aiken.  This unusual playlist is due to the new music subscription service called Spotify.

Spotify is a music-streaming service that started in Sweden in 2008.  The company is now headquartered in London and was introduced in the United States on July 14th, 2011. So far Spotify has received rave reviews and lots of buzz.

So what makes Spotify what it is?  First, the music library is diverse and deep.  The service provides access to about 15 million songs. Of course there are some holes in the program.  You cannot get any Beatles music as they have an exclusive digital distribution deal with iTunes and a few of the older rock groups are not available.

Another selling point for Spotify is that the service is extremely fast when it comes to finding and playing music.  When you want to find a song, the program looks for the music stored locally, but if it doesn’t find it there it calls to a server that finds it stored on another users’ computer.

Daniel Ek is the founder of Spotify.  He was very happy with the response to the U.S. debut of his program.  He hopes to have 50 million users in the U.S. within a year.

Ek has an ambitious goal for his company:  He wants to give people instant access to all the recorded music in the world … not just popular tunes from Western countries.

“Our goal is to have all the world’s music — all the African music, all the South American music, all the Asian music,” he said. Asked what percentage of the world’s recorded music is in Spotify’s database, Ek estimated, “probably closer to 80% than 20%.”

Spotify is divided up into three pricing tiers. The free version seems like a great deal. For just registering, you get unrestricted access to Spotify’s catalog of 15 million songs to play on your computer only, for six months. You just download software for either Windows or Mac and you get instant access to the huge catalog. You will have to occasionally hear some ads in the free version.  The free version does require an invitation so ask around and find someone who is already on and they might be able to get you an invitation.

For $5 a month, you can get a subscription where the ads disappear. There are no time limits to listening to the catalog in this category. For $10 a month, the premium service allows you to listen to music on mobile devices like the iPhone. You also can create playlists of songs, download them and listen to them on your phone while offline. You don’t need an invitation to join for either pay service programs.

Spotify also can catalog your existing music on your computer and you can use the software to sync the music you already own to your mobile device. The user interface is simple.

Ok………so there is a new place to listen to music…why should a person who has CD’s and lots of music on their computer sign up for something new?  Well, as a fan of Clay Aiken, I try to think of all the different ways I can support him.  Including Clay Aiken songs on playlists and sharing the playlists on my Facebook and Twitter accounts will get some people listening to him that perhaps haven’t heard him since he was on American Idol.  What if each one of us sent a diverse playlist of different singers to our friends on Twitter and it got picked up by another reader…well, we all know that if you hear Clay you want to hear more.  Plus, according to Bob Lefsetz:

There will be a streaming chart, which will cause people to check out winners. This will be determined by data, not influence. It won’t be about paying off the radio station, but reaching critical mass so that others will experiment by listening to you.

Spotify is the future and streaming will soon be the way to hear new music.  It won’t be long before a CD player is another machine that is obsolete.

For more information visit SPOTIFY

It doesn’t matter who you are… everybody needs music. It’s a necessity and without it life just wouldn’t be the same.  So, lets be on the cutting edge of change and try something new.  If it can help support my favorite musical artist I will give it a try.  It is great to see a program that benefits users and players and makes the distribution of music a fair process.

The following are some hints for using Power Votes from

SueReu!

In case anyone has questions regarding the power voting, here’s some step by step instructions:

1. You must be logged through Pepsi Refresh – not Facebook. You can log out and log in at the lower left corner of the Refresh screen.
2. Along the top of the page are several links – look for the yellow link that’s titled “Power Vote” and click on that link
3. Enter the power code in the white area and click “activate”
4. Once activated, it will give you the number of additional votes (anywhere between 5 and 100). Right under the number of additional votes, there are two links. If you activated your code after voting for National Inclusion Project or if you used the Project’s link to access the site, you want to click on the link that says “return to your last idea” and it will take you right back to the Project’s voting page
5. You will see a yellow voting tab that says “Power Vote” – all of your additional votes will be cast at one time
6. You can activate up to 10 individual power codes per day

Let’s get ‘er done!!!!

The National Inclusion Project makes an impact with thousands of children nationwide and raises the national consciousness about the need for and benefits of inclusion.

So…contact your friends, relatives and boss!!  We all need to step up and help win $50,000 for

Clay Aiken – $10 for 10 Days

By musicfan123 · Comments 11046(11)http%3A%2F%2Fclaynewsnetwork.com%2F2011%2F07%2F24%2Fclay-aiken-10-for-10-days%2FClay+Aiken+-+%2410+for+10+Days2011-07-24+07%3A50%3A46musicfan123http%3A%2F%2Fclaynewsnetwork.com%2F%3Fp%3D11046
Sunday, July 24th, 2011

On Saturday evening there was an important announcement posted at Clay Aiken’s Official Fan Club site.  Clay, as an UNICEF Ambassador, is promoting the PSA for the Horn of Africa.  Please stop by the OFC to read the announcement and, if you can, donate to help the children.  Remember…$10.00 will feed a child for 10 Days!!

According to UNICEF:

A tragedy of epic proportions is unfolding in the Horn of Africa, where hundreds of thousands of children are facing death due to starvation. The disastrous combination of a paralyzing drought, skyrocketing food prices and conflict has left over 11 million people battling hunger to survive.

UNICEF estimates that 1.85 million are in dire need of urgent aid. In some regions one in every three children is severely malnourished, their lives at risk.

The total number of Somali refugees that have fled to Ethiopia and Kenya in recent weeks to escape starvation is estimated at more than half a million.

There are strict benchmarks that must be surpassed in order for famine status to be reached:

1.      More than 30 percent of children must be suffering from acute malnutrition.

2.      Two adults per 10,000 people must be dying of starvation each day.

3.      20 percent of the general population must consume less than 2,100 kilocalories of food each day.

According to the UNICEF site:

Since the beginning of July, UNICEF has delivered 1,300 metric tons of life saving supplies to some of the hardest hit areas in southern Somalia, including enough therapeutic supplies to treat over 66,000 children malnourished children.

In an effort to prevent the outbreak of disease, insecticide-treated mosquito nets and essential medicines including vaccines are being airlifted to support massive vaccination campaigns that will be conducted over the coming weeks.

In order to step up operations and reach the most vulnerable children in the Horn of Africa, UNICEF estimates it will need USD$100 million over the next six months.

“UNICEF is using every means possible to reach every child. There simply can be no compromise on the objective to keep children and their families alive,” said Elhadj As Sy, Regional Director for UNICEF Eastern and Southern Africa. “Every life must count and we cannot afford to lose more lives to this crisis.”

So…as Clay Aiken fans, what can we do?  The following is a list of easy things that we can all do to help.

1.      Be sure and watch the UNICEF YouTube.  It is important to get a large number of hits on the video.  You can see it here or at the OFC…AND be sure to leave a comment.  We want everyone to see this and realize that it is important to support this campaign.

2.      Visit the AOL Music article featuring Clay and his role as the UNICEF ambassador who is heading up this campaign.  At this site you can do lots of easy things.  There is a small icon of an envelope.  Click on it and you can e-mail the site to you friends.  Why not let your friends know that you support UNICEF.  I bet you could think of 10 people who should get the E-mail.  Make sure you comment at the AOL site. AND…don’t forget to “like” the article. This helps keep the article at the top of Google…more people can then read and react.

3.      If you can, donate some money to the $10 – 10 Days program.  This can be done at the OFC.

4.      Post this information at other sites that you visit…and don’t forget Facebook and Twitter.  Maybe we can get it to trend.  The more people that read about it, the more donations that will come in.

Have you any more ideas how we can support Clay Aiken, UNICEF and the kids on the Horn of Africa?  We would love to hear any ideas.

The following is the link to the AOL/Music article.  AOLMUSIC

The following YouTube is from UNICEF.  Below that, I included a touching video from SueReu.  Clay’s music is a wonderful background to this beautiful video.

Clay Aiken – Don’t Be Afraid of the Future.

By musicfan123 · Comments 10908(5)http%3A%2F%2Fclaynewsnetwork.com%2F2011%2F07%2F16%2Fclay-aiken-dont-be-afraid-of-the-future%2FClay+Aiken+-+Don%27t+Be+Afraid+of+the+Future.2011-07-16+07%3A07%3A52musicfan123http%3A%2F%2Fclaynewsnetwork.com%2F%3Fp%3D10908
Saturday, July 16th, 2011

This past week I read an interesting article written by Bob Lefsetz.  He was comparing the success and future of the tech business to that of the music business.

Bob, who has been an active player in the music field for many years, feels that the music field is not changing with the times. He often writes about the foibles of the music moguls who fight change instead of looking for a way to embrace the future.

In the July 12th article, Bob produced a list of 20 suggestions for the music business, comparing it to the positive way the tech industry is working.  I chose a few of the points that I thought were important

  1. Focus on the product first, not the money! Google, Foursquare, Twitter, Facebook, each and every tech startup began without a business plan. When you start playing music and immediately want to get paid you’re sending the wrong message. Make it about the product first, figure out how to make money second.
  2. Marketing comes last, if at all. Google didn’t advertise until long after it became a household name.
  3.  Position yourself as cutting edge, as new. No tech startup gets a toehold unless it’s doing something new, why do you think you’re going to be a big success in music replicating what everybody else does?
  4.  Position yourself as a renegade. That’s part of the hoodie ethic in tech. In music everybody dresses up in finery and kisses the butt of anybody who might get them ahead, radio, the press, the guy at the label. These people should be afraid of you, they should not understand you, they should be your friend last.
  5.  Education/practice. Mark Zuckerberg went to Harvard, as did Bill Gates. Why do you think you can make it in music if you’ve got no talent and haven’t practiced? You don’t get into Harvard on a whim, you’ve got to perform for twelve years in advance, get great SATs, have incredible grades. Bill Gates was coding when he was still wet behind the ears. If you started playing yesterday and expect to be famous tomorrow, we’re laughing.
  6.  Be new and exciting. We can’t wait for the new iPhone, Apple has us hooked, constantly testing limits like the Beatles whereas the musical acts today are repeating themselves, endlessly.
  7. There’s more than one way to make money in music. Selling recordings is not the end all and be all. Google developed AdWords and AdSense and they gave e-mail away for free so they could insert ads alongside missives. None of this existed prior to them doing it. What are you doing that’s new? And Zynga has a huge valuation by selling air, i.e. virtual goods. Wanna entice the public? Sell something other than recordings and concert tickets, be innovative.
  8. Once you make it, don’t blow all your money. Today’s successful tech youngsters may buy a house, but they no longer even buy a fancy car. It’s all about the work. And when they do spend, they tend to give the money to charity.
  9.  Tech startups are sold via word of mouth. They don’t hire PR companies to flog them to the mainstream media. The mainstream media gets on the bandwagon last, when they hear about it from everybody else, when the users have turned the enterprise white-hot.
  10.  Groupon changed shopping. Who’s willing to change music?
  11. In tech they pay with stock options, it’s all about the upside. In music it’s all cash up front. The execs want huge salaries and the bands want huge guarantees. If you believed in yourself, in your work, you’d be willing to take more of the backend, which would be huge because of your hard work and ultimate success.
  12. Don’t be afraid of the future. Microsoft bought Skype. Music companies sue upstarts. They should purchase or align with them.

Party like a rock star. We hear that all the time. That so and so is a rock star. You want to know who’s a rock star? The techies. The cofounders of Google have a veritable air force, and they’re not telling everybody about it. Rock stars used to function off the grid. Now the techies do and the musicians are positively mainstream.

The public has voted. The money is in tech. Because it’s the land of excitement, where innovators go to blow our minds. That used to be music’s domain. But music abdicated its position. If music is to count again it must take the above lessons very seriously, or else it will be doomed to be the second-class citizen it has become.

If nothing else, Bob makes you think.  He has his opinions and most of the time I agree with him.  What do you think about Bob’s “music lessons”?

I do have to add a couple of pictures of Clay…somehow, I just HAVE TO!!

Recently, I have found it more of a challenge to present new and different topics so today we are going off track a bit.  I hope you don’t mind.  Tomorrow we will be back to Clay Aiken…I would like to think that Clay might chuckle at some of the obsolete gadgets, but he’s probably too young to remember some of them

I was on the Internet yesterday, looking for information about the changing field of music.  I was trying to find different opinions about the CD and why many people see it as obsolete. But…somehow I got off on another tangent.

It seemed that with each entry, I would come across many different gadgets, technologies, and habits that are now either obsolete or well on their way.

Because of the many advancements and gadgets introduced in the last few years, the whole world has changed.  We now have entirely different ways to do business, look for information, and connect with others.

We can reach anywhere in the world in just seconds, we have touch-screens and we share our thoughts with friends all over the world.

So…I am sharing some of the obsolete gadgets with you.  How is your memory?  Do you remember using any of these “older” devices?  Do you still use some of these inventions?

17 Things That Became Obsolete!

PDAs

Remember that trusty stylus? The once-awesome Palm Pilot had no chance when the touch-screen smartphone became the norm.

Dial-up

Static… dial tone… repeat a few times… ah, Internet!  30 minutes later…a download of a 3 minute Clay moment! I definitely won’t miss dial-up!

Getting film developed

Just think of all the pictures of Clay Aiken that we can take with a digital camera. Does anyone actually use film anymore?

Movie Rental Stores

Digital cable TV has given us Video-on-Demand and Netflix.  We no longer need to go to Blockbuster and hope the movie we want to see is available.  Are there any rental stores around anymore?

Maps

We used to have a folder with fold-up maps in our car.  Nowadays, we just punch in our destination into our GPS or smartphone. We’re good to go. Besides cutting down on the arguments about the quickest way, I no longer have to struggle to fold up the map correctly.

Newspaper classifieds

The Internet has become the place to go to find a job or a house or even sell your old couch. We can thank Craig Newmark from Craig’s List for this shortcut.

The Landline

89% of the U.S. can use wireless phones.  Every day, more and more people choose their cell phone over their landline at home.  It is not obsolete yet, but it is on its way out!

Long-Distance Charges

Because of cell phones, it no longer costs extra to make call to the other side of the U.S.  And, if you need to make international calls, there is Skype and various other free Internet chat services make international calls totally free (at least for now).

Public pay phones

I don’t think I can remember the last time I saw a public pay phone, let alone used one.

VCRs

DVD players outsold VCR’s in 2002 for the first time.  Today we have digital movie watching so “bye-bye” to the VCR.

Fax machines

Today, most people use e-fax.  The annoying fax machine is now passe.

Phone books, dictionaries, encyclopedias

What do you do with the many phone books that get dropped in your driveway?  I can get what I want on the Internet.  And, one of my “Bookmarked” spots is a dictionary.

CDs

It is the age of digital music and the iPod.  And, is there a store by you that still carries CD’s?  Album sales dropped by another 13% in 2010.  It is only a matter of time until the CD becomes just a relic of times gone by. (Maybe we should add the Walkman to this topic.)

Backing up your data on floppies or CDs

Now we have external hard drives and even thumb drives.  What am I going to do with all those DVD’s with all my Clay files on them?

Boundaries

With Facebook, MySpace and Twitter, boundaries went out the window.  I am not convinced that this is good.

Paper

Since most communication is now conducted on-line, fewer people continue having a newspaper delivered to their home.  You can get the news quicker on the Internet…and you can get many different points of view.  Some people feel that paper is the biggest casualty of the decade

Record Stores

Records have long been obsolete, except as nostalgia. But the record store, as in a store that sells music, has now been replaced by the Internet and iTunes.

Did we forget anything?

What else is toast? I would love to hear in the comments.

Clay Aiken – Dust Off The Voting Fingers!

For fans of Clay Aiken, it’s time to start dusting off the voting fingers, make a list of friends and family that will help you and find out who you know that drinks Pepsi products. We are about to support another Pepsi Challenge Grant.

Jerry Aiken is the Executive Director of the National Inclusion Project.  On Tuesday, he wrote the following on Facebook:

The National Inclusion Project will be entering the 2011 Pepsi Challenge soon. Hopefully all our friends will take us to victory again! In the interim please collect the Power Vote numbers from specially marked Pepsi products. Do not enter the codes yet; once you do you have to vote that day. Power voting will allow all of the votes you win to go to one idea! More to come- thanks!

Pepsi is skipping out of large ad campaigns to invest in a socially – conscious media push. Pepsi’s “Refresh Everything” campaign asks consumers to think up ideas that will make the world a better place, promising $20 million in grant money to fund the winning causes.

So what does a community have to do to get the money? Well, that is the neat part about this project. Pepsi wanted the money to be available to ANYBODY that has an idea that would benefit their community, not just big corporations with whole staffs of grant writers. They also wanted the money to go to ideas that the general public would like to see supported, so they developed a voting system. If you are an U.S. residents over the age of 13, you can vote.

Labeled “crowdfunding”, this type of campaign is a growing trend. Pepsi is experimenting with the power of the crowd. Instead of taking donations from a large number of individuals, they’re sourcing ideas. Using the Pepsi’s Refresh Project people can create communities that pitch ideas for charitable projects. People vote on the ideas and Pepsi makes those projects a reality. What Pepsi is most likely counting on is the reach of individuals to their networks. People push their “refresh” ideas to their networks through social media in order to generate more votes and in turn, more love for the Pepsi brand.

According to the Pepsi Refresh Website there is a new twist to the Pepsi Refresh Project this time around.

Consumers can now earn bonus votes for their favorite ideas simply by purchasing a Pepsi product with new “Power Voting” feature. Voting will open for the first time in 2011 on May 1 for the Pepsi Refresh Project and consumers are encouraged to cast their vote on www.RefreshEverything.com – giving them the power to decide which ideas are funded. Each month, Pepsi is giving away more than $1 million to 60 ideas that move communities forward.  This year, Pepsi is also offering consumers the chance to make their votes go even further for the ideas that they believe will create a better, more vibrant world with Power Voting.

So…let’s get a head start on the voting this time around.  Although we can’t use the codes yet, we can start today to collect the codes for the Power Voting. Choose from the products below to find your Power Vote code location.

20 oz bottle
Pepsi, Diet Pepsi or Pepsi MAX (bottle cap)

2 liter bottle
Pepsi, Diet Pepsi or Pepsi MAX (bottle cap)

12-can package
Pepsi, Diet Pepsi or Pepsi MAX

20-can package
Pepsi, Diet Pepsi or Pepsi MAX

24-can package
Pepsi, Diet Pepsi or Pepsi MAX

It is easy to find the code. It should be under the bottle cap or printed on the inside of your multi-pack.

So, while we await more information, check with your friends, community organizations, and family members to see if they will help collect the Power Vote Codes…AND…be ready to vote for the National Inclusion Project.

CANN will keep you informed of the schedule and will post the time schedule, the rules and all the instructions from Jerry and the National Inclusion Project.

This is a great way to help support the Project.  It will cost us nothing but a few minutes each day.  Can the National Inclusion Project count on your help?

Quote of the Day

It is not always about performance art, but about receiving positive energy from people with positive spirits. Sometimes we can see someone's spirit, and those are the people with great energy. Those are the people that get me through the day, especially on Broadway. -Clay Aiken
