Congratulations to the National Inclusion Project.  The following announcement was published on their website on Wednesday:

Hasn’t it been fun watching this organization grow from a school project into a leader in the field of  inclusion…all because of the dreams and determination of Clay Aiken and his tireless team.  I am proud to be a fan of Clay Aiken and the National Inclusion Project.

Clay Aiken – A Stack of News!

Tuesday brought a stack of news about Celebrity Apprentice and Clay Aiken.  It is always amazing to me that there are so many different reviews and, although most give the same opinions, there are those who seem to have watched something entirely different that what I saw.

The following are some of the interesting sites that discuss Clay and his participation on Celebrity Apprentice

One of my favorite reviews is at a site titled, TV Gasm.  Each week, they report on the new episode of the show. So far, they have only reviewed one task form last week, but have promised to post about the second half of the show soon.  The review  is always a bit tongue-in-cheek and filled with both words and pictures.  They had the following to say about Clay:

…Clay goes to visit the National Inclusion Project, which allows disabled children to participate in things like summer camp and helps them feel like they fit in. Finally a feel good and happy delivery of the winnings on this show!  Clay says this has only fueled his fire to be the one to win the whole thing an bring back another $250,000 to his charity.

…Back at the men’s team, guess who shows up… Michael Andretti! How’s that for an awesome dude? Even though he was fired before he ever had a chance to earn any money for his own charity, he is here today to donate twenty thousand dollars. When he asks Clay how many books he can get for that, the miserly Clay tells him “just one.” LOL – I’m loving Clay more and more.

…Clay is upset at the mob mentality that happened. He says people were grabbing cash out of his hand and Arsenio saw a women stuffing money down her pants. Clay wonders if they even got half of what Blue Man Group gave them. It did look like it could have turned into a pretty ugly mob scene. I’m sad to hear that people didn’t scramble to gather the money to keep it safe and return it to Unanimous.

…Clay’s feathers are really ruffled. Dee tries to console him but Clay is too upset to talk about it. At least Clay is focusing his ire in the right place and is angry with Penn for inviting a circus idea that negatively affected other people. It would appear there will still be no love between these two brilliant minds.

…I’m loving Clay Aiken more and more. As he signs his autograph on their book, he tells a customer he knows using a pink marker is redundant. Hah!

TVBlend writes a review each week about Celebrity Apprentice.  They always post a Power Ranking of the celebrities.  When the show started, this site rated Clay very low on their chart.  However, this week, Clay is rated #1.  The following is what they say about Clay:

#1) Clay Aiken (33): Clay’s ascent to the top of the rankings has been gradual, but with everyone having completed a turn as project manager, he deserves to be considered among the best. Apart from the one week in which he freaked out on Penn, Clay has remained cool, composed and strategic. Notice in the boardroom how differently he chose to express his resentment of Aubrey than Arsenio who created untold amounts of friction and lost his composure? That steadiness should carry Clay to the finals if he can avoid any major screw-ups.

TVLatest is another site that reviews Celebrity Apprentice.  Their review is long and they do go into great detail.  They mention Clay often in the article and seem to like him. The following is one of the mentions:

Dee doesn’t care about the quality of his team’s book: it’s a fundraiser so just focus on the money. Penn suggests the team go up to the roof of Trump Tower and take pictures from there. Clay voices his concern that all the photos will look the same, but Dee decides to go with Penn’s idea. “I don’t know if it’s his entire head,” Clay muses in an interview, “but at least Dee’s forehead is up Penn’s ass.” I am so sorry I voted for Ruben Studdard. The team heads to the roof and they do have an impressive view of Manhattan. The plan is for each guy to pose for a picture with a different NYC neighborhood/area in the background. Paul Teutul’s picture is the last to be taken and he ends up with the East Side. In other words, take everything you know about Paul and make it the opposite.

Clay Aiken – Surviving The Emotional Rollercoaster!

Oh My!!  Where do I begin?  This episode of Celebrity Apprentice was full of love, ego, distrust, friendship and honor.  It takes a certain kind of person to survive this emotional roller coaster!!

I am so glad that some of the Internet sites have already posted information, articles, and reviews about the Sunday evening show.  I hope that many more will show up today!!  It’s after 1:00AM , so, hopefully this blog will make sense!  Here are a few of the articles that are on-line.

That’s why it was so hilarious to see this elaborate sidewalk show go absolutely haywire when the balloon popped, releasing $8,000 and igniting a mad rush of curious onlookers to fill their pockets, bras, and — according to Clay Aiken — butt cracks with cash. It seems Mr. Aiken was also achin’ after getting into some minor scuffles while protecting the cash. Why so fancy with the cash delivery, Blue Man Group? Just hand them the envelope! Make it a blue envelope! Take back the color blue from those pesky upstart Smurfs! I don’t care. But hand them a damn envelope!

“It was a disaster,” Clay fumed later in the Boardroom. “It was a horrible idea.” Clay then continued to express his outrage by continuing the fuzzy math theme of the week by somehow insisting that he knew the team only recovered $2,000 of the $8,000 BMG money.

This episode started off wonderfully for me. As a result of winning as project manager during last week’s task, I was able to present a lot of money to my charity, National Inclusion Project. We traveled to a camp in upstate New York and got a chance to play some parachute games with some kids, and it was a nice respite from the craziness of Manhattan for a bit. Hollywood Life has their review of the show up already.  Silly people, they didn’t even mention Clay…but I did enjoy what they said about Aubrey:

…The two unofficial project managers, Aubrey and Penn, caused a few bumps in the road. Aubrey and Arsenio butted heads, especially when she referenced Arsenio “walking away” from his career. Ouch! “I’m sick of her,” Arsenio blurted out.

…Even before the winning team was announced, Arsenio made it pretty clear how he felt about Aubrey. And then came the tears… again! (Surprise, surprise.) But surprisingly, their team won! Curiously, Aubrey left without going into the boardroom.

ZAP 2 it…what is wrong?  Why don’t you mention Clay Aiken in your article.  How come you didn’t even mention him visiting an Inclusive Camp and presenting a check for $50,000?  That is certainly newsworthy.  However, this site writes an article each week so I look forward to what they write next week.  The following is what they said about the end of the broadcast:

The most shocking turn of events came after Arsenio Hall’s win as project manager for Team Unanimous when the rest of the team went back to the war room, while Aubrey O’Day headed for the elevator with her accompanying voiceover, “I don’t want to be around all the negativity anymore … the environment is so ugly. I just don’t know if this is the right place for me.”

Recappers Delight is a blog that is very PRO to Clay Aiken.  It is really fun to read.  There are many mentions of Clay and what he did on the Celebrity Booklet task.  The author says:

…Fortunately, Clay Aiken is now a major mover and shaker.  Nobody is gonna ever put baby in a corner again, so I think I can safely do play by play snark.   There is a lot of garbage here that needs to be snarked.

…Now, here’s the good stuff.  Claymates, soak in every glorious minute of it.  He won.  The sun is shining, the birds are feeding, and the kids are playing with an enormous rainbow parachute as Clay Aiken, winning Project Manager, comes forward to deliver his good news.  He’s got a big hug for Christy White as he begins to play with the parachute as well.  He’s been playing for the National Inclusion Project, his own charity (which I personally have been following since its inception) and the goal is to enable kids with disabilities to be integrated with normally abled kids in certain activities, like summer camp.

It is Friday, March 30th…Clay Aiken is still the “king of Buzz” on the Internet.  There are so many mentions about Clay, it is almost laughable.  You would think he was saving the world.  Well, personally, I love that he is still an important name in the entertainment industry.

I have picked a few interesting things to write about as I cannot even begin to cover all the 25, 000 articles.

  What’s Behind Clay Aiken’s Media Blitz?  

After flying under the radar, the “American Idol” alum has resurfaced to resurrect his candid persona, competing on “Celebrity Apprentice,” confessing to plastic surgery and weighing in on the Trayvon Martin tragedy.

Clay Aiken is stepping back into the limelight, revealing more personality than ever.

The 33-year-old singer will always be part of the permanent pop-culture lexicon after gaining fame as one of the most successful runners-up in American Idol history, dating back nine years to season two.

But he has also been fiercely private, despite flashes of outspokenness. (See: Aiken’s bitter 2009 tiradeagainst fellow Idol also-ran Adam Lambert, one of whose TV performances he slammed as “awful,” “contrived” and “slightly frightening.”)

For years, Aiken — whose fans are dubbed “Claymates” — appeared to be in hiding from his true self, dodging persistent questions about his sexuality. In September 2008, he publicly confirmed he’s gay, months after welcoming a son, Parker Foster Aiken, with friend Jaymes Foster, the sister of music producer David Foster. She produced his fourth studio album, On My Way Here, released that same year.

In July 2010, Aiken dropped a disc of standards called Tried and True, and this week, he returns from a two-year album hiatus with the follow-up Steadfast, a tribute to ’50s and ’60s songs. It contains seven tracks from Tried and True, plus a pair of covers and one original song in a repackaging of his previous effort.

In that sense, he appears to be capitalizing on his current stint as a contestant on NBC’sCelebrity Apprentice, the Donald Trump-created ego franchise from which Aiken most certainly would have shied away several years ago. He can be seen Sunday nights competing for cash (all proceeds go to charity) alongside Arsenio Hall, Debbie Gibsonand Real Housewife Teresa Giudice.

Aiken marked a media appearance to promote his projects on Tuesday’s edition of the Bravo chatfest Watch What Happens, hosted by Andy Cohen. The no-holds-barred tone of the show seemed to rub off on Aiken, who confessed to having plastic surgery.

“I had operative surgery on my jaw for a TMJ thing and I had them suck the fat out of my chin while they were in there,” he said, not mentioning the date on which he went under the knife. “I was like, ‘You know what, while I’m already down, go ahead and take the vacuum in there and suck the fat out of my chin.’”

(It’s worth noting that Aiken has made a cameo on NBC’s 30 Rock as the cousin of the character Kenneth (Jack McBrayer), whose weak chin is a running joke on the series.)

In another candid conversation, the singer and reality star weighed in on the tragic death of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin, who was shot dead by neighorhood watchman George Zimmerman while unarmed last month.

“The Trayvon Martin story has gotten a lot of coverage already but this is in memory of him,” Aiken told the Huffington Post on Wednesday, sporting a hooded sweatshirt in tribute to the Florida teen. “As a father, you think about your own kid and mine is really young but this could be anyone’s child. We need to have something happen here, some sort justice and arrest. I’m not saying a conviction, I’m just saying an arrest and a jury deciding this instead of just some cops.”

According to the Huff Post, citing sources, Aiken “does very well” during his Apprenticerun.

Nearly 10 years since his overnight Idol fame, the once-shy performer seems to be making a concerted effort to remain in the spotlight, where he seemingly belongs — and wants to be.

Clay Aiken – A Great Win!

Congratulations to Clay Aiken and the entire Unanimous Team!  These wonderful gentleman just won $50,000 for the National Inclusion Project.    This personifies the reason for Celebrity Apprentice…making money for important charities.  WOW…$50,000 will help so many children.

So far, there are no new screen-caps from the broadcast of Celebrity Apprentice – Week 6.  As soon as they are available tomorrow, I will post them.  A huge thank you to the ladies who provide us with such great CLACK!!

In the end, the Crystal Light executives believed that Unanimous had done a better job of capturing the “fun” and “lively” “party-in-a-pack” type atmosphere that they were looking for, and therefore we were safe for another week. And I was able to send $50,000 back to my charity, National Inclusion Project, an organization that helps include kids with disabilities into activities with their non-disabled peers. The organization’s goal for the past eight years has been to prevent kids with disabilities from being left on the sidelines. Please check out the website at www.inclusionproject.org

I hope that Clay will win even more for this excellent Charity.

Entertainment Weekly posted their review of Celebrity within minutes of the end of the broadcast.  I love that they had some positive things to say about Clay.

Clay Aiken: Beach Bum
Clay Aiken was my episode 1 to win it all, but this is the first time we got to see him in action as Project Manager. I have to say, I liked what I saw, and I’m not just referring to that crazy fur-lined overcoat Clay was rocking. (Yes, that just may be the first time Clay’s name and the word “rocking” have appeared in the same sentence.) The men’s peach-turned-beach theme was fantastic, if for no other reason than it forced the attendees into various half-naked states of undress. It also provided us the unmitigated joy of watching Lou Ferrigno and that dude with the handlebar mustache trying to figure out how to open mini cocktail umbrellas.

Clay pulled out all the stops — Sand! Tiki bars! Juggling! — and even got Kathie Lee and Hoda to show up (although they no doubt bolted out of there as fast as possible once they realized the beverages contained no alcohol). The Project Manager saved his best for last, belting out a little “Under the Boardwalk.” But Clay didn’t sing it alone. All his teammates joined in. As did all the partygoers. In fact, the only person who didn’t sing along was Melanie the frighteningly tall Crystal Light executive, who seemed to be completely clueless as to the lyrics. How can you not know the lyrics to “Under the Boardwalk”? In her defense, she was probably too busy daydreaming up more absurd marketing slogans like “Our brand personality is sassy!” and “It is literally a party in a pack!”

Still, as splendid a job as Clay did, his finest moment of the entire episode was at the very top while discussing his disadvantage in the task: “Aubrey is a clubber. Just look at that hair. Aubrey popped right out of her momma’s chotch and started grabbing on to the stripper pole.” I think, after hearing that quote, I just officially became a Claymate. Is there some sort of initiation ceremony I need to take part in to seal the deal? Like dying my hair orange, walking around in an “Achin’ for Aiken” t-shirt, or knocking out one of Ruben Studdard’s tail lights? Whatever it is, count me in.

It is with a heavy heart that I must pass on the news that one of Clay’s dedicated fans passed away on Sunday.  Gerwhisp is a name that is known through out the ClayNation.  She was a moderator at the ClayBoard was known for her great CLACK.  She always worked hard to produce the very best pictures, screen-caps and videos.  I talked to her a few weeks ago and asked her permission to use her screen-caps on CANN.  Her reply was quick and to the point..Of course you can use the pictures.  You don’t need to ask.  They are for all Clay Fans!!  WOW!

The following is the note sent to the CB about Gerwhisp.  Please keep her and her family in your thoughts and prayers.

It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected but peaceful
passing of Geraldine Anne Wells (Gerwhisp) with her family by her side
on March 24, 2012 at the Ottawa Hospital General Campus.  Gerwhisp was
admitted to the Intensive Care Unit on March 9th suffering from septic
shock as a result of a Strep A infection. This was a very aggressive
form of invasive group A streptococcal infection which occurs rarely.
Gerwhisp was just very unfortunate to get it.  She was a strong women
and in perfect health and over the next two weeks she put up a valiant
fight but the effects of this bacteria and its insidious toxin had
destroyed most of the muscles in her body.  The family knows that she
appreciated all the prayers and best wishes that you sent her during
this difficult time.  We read each and every one of your messages to
her and played her Clay’s songs over the entire 2 weeks she was in
hospital.  We know that Gerwhisp would want any donations in her
memory to be sent to the National Inclusion Project ,

In four days, the 5th episode of Season 5 of Celebrity Apprentice will be broadcast.  However, the promotion and reviews of last weeks episode can still be found all over the Internet.

One of my favorite blogs for Celebrity Apprentice is named TVgasm.  Each week, the funny and talented writer reviews the Sunday episode.  The updated blog was posted today.  One of the highlights of this blog is how the author combines words and pictures.  There is no holding back and some of it is a bit racy, but it is very well done.  You can see this blog at TVgasm

It is amazing all the promotion that Celebrity Apprentice is creating for their show and its 18 contestants.  Clay Aiken is in the news every day!  The following are some of the highlights of Thursday, February 23, 2012.


Celebrity Apprentice Recap: A Great Start!

The real standout on the men’s team, though, had to be Clay Aiken, who was working the register. He was fantastically charming and great at squeezing a little more money out of their sandwich shop customers. He looked like he was having a ball, but he was also working really hard. Celebrity Apprentice’ interpreter Jack Jason sizes up the new cast of crazies

Today is the first Friday the 13th of 2012, but it won’t be the last. The superstitiously unlucky day is set to creep up two more times in 2012, so if you suffer from friggatriskaidekaphobia (that’s fear of Friday the 13th), maybe it’s best to stay indoors and find something else to do.


About 17 million to 21 million Americans have an irrational fear of the ill-fated day, according to the History Channel. There is some good news, though. The date can only appear a maximum of three times during a calendar year. This year, the inauspicious day will make two more appearances in April and July.


Although the fear might just be based on superstition, to this day, most buildings don’t have a thirteenth floor, and many airports don’t have a thirteenth gate. And apparently the economy tends to suffer a bit each time the foreboding day rolls around.  Donald Dossey is the founder of the stress Management Center and Phobia Institute in Asheville, NC.  He says:


“It’s been estimated that $800 or $900 million is lost in business on this day, because people will not fly or do business they would normally do.”


Well, I’m not sure how I feel about Friday The 13th.  I never thought I was superstitious, but I wonder if I don’t think about it without even realizing I am!!


Instead of spending the day in fear of black cats, lets make it a fun Friday with these 13 ideas you can do as a Clay Aiken Fan!!.


 


    

  1. Read chapter 13 of Clay’s book, Learning To Sing.  Titled, Aim For The High Notes, I am sure you will feel better after this short read.
    2. 

  2. Take A Thirteen Minute Walk With Clay:  It may only take you around the block, but a walk with your iPod filled with Clay songs will put a smile on your face.  See how far walking for thirteen minutes in one direction will take you from your house.
    3. 

  3. Watch 13 Clay Aiken YouTubes.  Check out your favorites or follow a theme.  Now, you know you want to do this!!
    4. 

  4. Gift 13 copies of Bring Back My Love.  You know if someone hears it, they will love it.  So…sign in to iTunes or Amazon and get to work!
    5. 

  5. Download thirteen songs by Clay Aiken:  Wait…too easy… they must all be under three minutes and thirteen seconds.
    6. 

  6. Copy 13 photos of Clay Aiken:  Pile all the photos together and make a small Friday the 13th album just for you.
    7. 

  7. Donate $13.00 to The National Inclusion Project.  If we all did that today, we could send a child to camp!
    8. 

  8. Make a 13-song CD of Clay’s Music.  Do you have 13 friends to give it to?  If not, why not take a few to an Assisted Living Facility or a hospital in your area?
    9. 

  9. Mark 13 Dream Destinations on A Map.  Pull out a world map, or a globe if you have one and see if you can pick 13 places where you would love to see Clay perform.  (We can pretend we can afford any city.)
    10. 

  10. Spend 13 Minutes without any distractions:  Turn off the phone, the computer and the TV.  Take 13 minutes to listen to Clay Aiken music!!
    11. 

  11. Grab a Dictionary or Thesaurus.  Find 13 new words that describe Clay Aiken.  It’s fun and you have added some new words to your a vocabulary.
    12. 

  12. Sign on To Your Computer.  Go into your saved pictures and choose  the top 13 pictures of Clay.  After a few hours, take a break and then try again!
    13. 

  13. Send 13 E-mails.  Ask 13 of your Clay friends if they have requested Bring Back Your Love at their local AC radio station.

Yes…this is a fun day!!  I would rather spend my day enjoying my fandom than worrying about black cats, or 13 floors in a building.  Lets have fun!
