Clay Aiken – Missing- What Can We Do?

Sometimes there are events in the entertainment field that make you wish you lived close by so you could participate.

Right now, I wish I lived in New York.  I want to be able to spend my Thursday lunches at Bryant Park in July and August.

106.7 Lite fm is presenting “Broadway in Bryant Park 2009.”   This is a lunchtime series that presents the best of Broadway on six Thursdays on the Bryant Park stage.

The series is sponsored by Bank of America and State Farm and features live performances from the wonderful on and off Broadway shows. The open-air environment is perfect for a wonderful lunch hour.

On-air personalities from Lite fm will be the hosts for the series.  The last show on August 13th will be hosted by John Stamos who will be starring in the revival of Bye Bye Birdie on Broadway.

Each Thursday, four different shows will participate in the lunch hour performance.  Some of the shows that are listed for performing are Shrek, Wicked, The Lion King, Billy Elliot, Mary Poppins, Phantom of the Opera, Jersey Boys and many others.

This is the eighth year of “Broadway in Bryant Park.”  Seating is first come, first served and is on the lawn.  I can’t think of a better way to enjoy a summer lunch!

Is there a tie to Clay Aiken in this story?  Well, when I hear about Bryant Park, I remember the Good Morning America concerts that Clay gave in 2004 and 2005

There is a very popular show on TV called So You Think You Can Dance. The show highlights young dancers who compete for many weeks to become the last dancer standing.  The dancers are assigned a partner and for the first five weeks, they perform together for the judges and the audience.

This season, one couple has become very popular for their beautiful dancing and their dynamic personalities.  Randi Evans and Evan Kasprzak are amazing to watch.

I found the following YouTube the other day. It is a tribute to Randi and Evan.  The music is Everything I Don’t Need, sung by Clay Aiken.  What a great way to introduce Clays singing to the dancing fans.
