Clay Aiken – Decisions are Historic

San Francisco City Hall

Congratulations to all supporters of same-sex marriage.  On Wednesday, July 26th, the United States Supreme Court handed down two landmark gay rights rulings.

The first act was striking down the Defense of Marriage Act.  DOMA was a federal law that forbade the government from recognizing same-sex marriages.  The second was dismissing a suit from supporters of California’s Proposition 8 gay marriage ban.

While the rulings fell short of the goal same-sex marriage advocates have set — eliminating all laws limiting the rights of gays and lesbians to marry, these rulings moved people one step closer to “Equal justice under the law.”

CANN is in no way a political blog, however, today’s decisions are historic and it would be remiss to ignore the decisions.

Today is a good time to enjoy some random, fun pictures of Clay Aiken!  What do you think?

  6. I think there are still people who believe that being gay is a choice. How could anyone choose to make their life so difficult? God doesn't make mistakes. We are all made by Him and loved by Him.
There is still a long way to go, but our country has taken a step in the right direction.
