Mix and Match Answers

After reading all of the comments on the Mix and Match quiz, it seems that it was a big challenge for many of our readers. Even though the names may be familiar, the professional backgrounds of these talented musicians may not be known to Clay Aiken fans.

Here are the answers to our little quiz plus a little more information about these talented people.

1.   Andy Abad  D Andy did tour with the Backstreet Boys. Andy is best known for the passionate guitar artistry.  He also has toured with Marc Anthony and, of course, Clay Aiken.

2.  Matthew Crowle C Spamalot was Matthew’s Broadway debut.  He was the “dancing   nun”.  He also was one of the stand-ins for Tom Deckman.  Prior to Spamalot, Matt toured with Tommy Tune in Doctor Doolittle.

3.   Bradley Dean  M Bradley had a role in Man of La Mancha, but he also had roles in the Broadway productions of Company and Jayne Eyre.  He also has screen credits for two soap operas.  We know him as Dennis.

4.   Tom Deckman  F Somehow I don’t think of Tom being on Sex and the City, but he was.  He has also been seen on Hope & Faith and Law and Order.  Oh, yes, he has also been in six Broadway shows.   To Spamalot fans, he will always be known as Prince Herbert.

5.   Angela Fisher K Angela Fisher has been a busy back-up singer for many years.  She has performed on 26 albums and has sung with many artists, including Michael Jackson, Josh Groban, Andrea Bocelli and Missy Elliott.

6.   David Hibbard J David is a veteran stage performer.  He performed in Once Upon A Mattress in 1996.  In Cats, he played the role of Rum Tum Tugger 2,197 times.   His role of Patsy was outstanding and he played a funny drunk  guard.

  2. Terrific post. I really enjoyed learning more about Clay’s show biz friends and co-workers. Let’s have more quizzes. They’re great fun!

  3. I really enjoyed this! I think I am most surprised by Tom Deckman. I did not ever watch Sex and the City, but even so I could not picture him on there. I think that is a mark of a good actor. He is so believable in the role he has it is hard to see him doing something else. I hope all of these fine musicians continue to work for many years to entertain us. They are all incredibly talented!

    • He was in the episode “Splat!” (1 episode, 2004) in the role of the Pet Store Guy. There was a video clip somewhere, but I haven’t been able to find it.

  4. Thanks for the info on the match game answers! Dare I say I flunked big time, ha ha. I know the names, but nothing else, didn’t even match Quiana & Angela.

    • I googled, but couldn’t find the answer. Even checked cast lists. All I can think of is that it was as a guest performer and not a regular cast member.

  5. That was really fun! Thanks for putting up all this information, not just about Clay, but those people we have seen him perform with through the years. I know them all a little better now, thanks to you!!
