Clay Aiken – Or Is It Elvis?

The Summer of 2005…………….A wonderful time for fans of Clay Aiken.  It was the summer of…

The JukeBox Tour

Running from July 27th to September 1st, the tour stopped at 26 cities and performed for sell-out and near sell-out crowds at all the stops.

One of the highlights of the tour was the Elvis Medley that Clay performed.  He tricked us into believing he was playing the piano, slipped on blue shoes, caressed his mike, and flirted with Angela, Quiana and the audience.

The following video is the Elvis Medley from Boston.  It really shows what a talented and versatile young man Clay Aiken is in concert.

  1. Loved the JBT so much and the Elvis interpretation was amazing. Clay Aiken can sing just about anything!!

  2. I loved the Jukebox Tour. It was so much fun. Clay Aiken really showed his versatility when it comes to singing and performing.

  3. 🙁 I didn’t get to see the JBT, but I love watching the video!!! It looked like an amazing evening – lots of fun, lots of wonderful music, and lots of laughs!!!

I hope Clay Aiken gets back on the road “soon”

  4. Oh yes, The Jukebox Tour. What a show. I saw it in Valdosta, Georgia. That WDC dance was the best at that venue. If he ever has The Jukebox Tour2 I’ll be there in a minute. Love him in concert.

  5. The Jukebox Tour was my absolute favourite tour. Hubby and I drove to Darien Lake in N.Y; I flew to Indy to meet up with a lot of friends made on the Clay RCA board; and to top it off … I saw it in Toronto. I enjoyed the Toronto concert most because I had second row seats and even though I didn’t meet many people I knew, I did meet some of Clay’s fans that I hadn’t met before. That Elvis segment was to die for having been a throwback to the old Elvis days for me when I was a teen.

When I met Clay in Syracuse in 2007, I told him he out-Elvised Elvis and he was floored but full of thanks. I meant it seriously as although I had been (and I guess will always be) a big Elvis fan, I think Clay’s voice has more depth and range. I actually did see Elvis when I was a kid and again when I was about 30, so I am comparing apples to apples.

    I’m just waiting for JBT2!

    Thanks for the memories.

  6. Elvis and Clay have lots of similarities. Both southern, love their mamas, great voices, passionate fans, superb entertainers.

  7. Clay really showed his versitality in this concert. There wasn’t an era that he didn’t nail to perfection..Fantastic show!!

  8. Sniff, I didn’t get a chance to go to this concert. I wasn’t as brave as I am now to go by myself. There weren’t shows near me, but if I had KNOWN any other fans, I would have been to as many as I could get to! I’ve seen all the Clay Clack…. He was just awesome! I wasn’t a huge Elvis fan, but admired him. Clay sure did him justice, huh?

  9. I loved the JBT and saw it 8 times. It was a tour you would never tire of. Clay is so versatile. I was a big Elvis fan but have to say Clay did Elvis better than Elvis!

  10. When I first saw the Jukebox Tour in Valdosta Georgia I was so pleasantly surprised at how much talent that Clay is and how versatile in music genre he was Also how much energy it took to do a concedrt like that!! I hope he does something like this again Get back on the road real soon we love and miss you!!!!!

  11. I missed this tour! but I had many wonderful friends that sent me copies of this on DVD that they had made!! Clay is so multi talented!! I truly believe there is nothing this man could not do and turn it into gold.
