Clay Aiken – Ruben Studdard……two of the most famous names in American Idol history. In 2003, Season Two of American Idol was popular because of the talent, but also because Clay and Ruben were promoted as big rivals. Thank goodness, both young men became good friends and to this day, enjoy each others company.
It looks like there will be some Clay-Ruben performances this year so I thought it might be fun to remember some of the great times the two had together…..and be reminded of what we have to look forward to.

Clay Aiken & Ruben Studdard MADE American Idol what it is today. Had that season not happened when it did, AI would not have launched into the stratosphere. They had talent, charisma, and were so much fun to watch together!!! I am looking forward to seeing that magic return and hopefully we'll be seeing the two of them together in a few appearances (or better yet, a full blown tour) this year!!
Whenever I see pictures of the two fo them I think of Jeff Foxworthy saying that they reminded him of the number 10 – that just cracked me up.
… or Jimmy Kimmel calling them the spaghetti and meatball of AI. I hope they do Jesus Is Love – that was awesome.
They really did play off of each other – and to think today – they are still very good friends.

Clayand Ruben are going to have a blast…How wonderful for them to get to perform together again…..It's good. The way the economy is…a lot of artists are touring together.
