Clay Aiken – It’s All Black and White!

When you photograph people in color, you photograph their clothes.

But when you photograph people in Black and White, you photograph their souls!

~ Ted Grant ~

Black and White images can be strong, high contrast and powerful –

or they can be so soft, gentle and subtle.

Taking the color out of an image lets the subject speak for itself.

Its raw, it’s stripped back, it’s honest and it allows you to show the true person.

  6. My son is a photographer. He has even taken wedding photos in B&W. You do seem to concentrate more on the face of the subject when the color of everything else is removed. Of course, Clay looks good anyway we can get him!
I was at the gym today and saw a lady wearing a Perkins Cove t-shirt. I had to go over and ask her if she got it in Ogunquit, ME. Yes, but several years ago. I thought about Clay in 'Joseph' the whole rest of my workout.

  7. I love black & white photos. You totally concentrate on the subject, and less about the surroundings. Love the pics you posted Musicfan. Thankyou.
