The popular web-site, Broadway World, posted some new pictures of Clay Aiken this week. It seems that Clay made a visit to the hilariously funny musical comedy, Something Rotten.
The Something Rotten website says:
SOMETHING ROTTEN! is “Broadway’s new, big fat hit!” (New York Post). The Associated Press calls it “fresh, hysterical and irreverent,” and Time Out New York cheers, “SOMETHING ROTTEN! is the funniest musical in at least 400 years!”
Clay saw the show a few months ago, but it’s not surprising that he wanted to visit again. And, knowing so many of the cast members must make it even more fun.
Beth Johnson Nicely: Since Spamalot, she has performed in three Broadway shows:
Irving Berlin’s White Christmas – Bullets Over Broadway – Something Rotten!
Jenny Hill: Since Spamalot, Jenny has performed in 2 seasons of Elf, and is now in Something Rotten.
David Hubbard: After an exciting time in Spamalot, David played in Billy Elliot: The Musical, Elf, and now is in Something Rotten. (Did you ever see David as Rum Tum Tigger in Cats? He always stopped the show!!!
Aaron Kaburick: According to what I could find, Aaron did not perform with Clay in Spamalot. However, he was in the the Broadway productions of Billy Elliot, Sister Act, Motown The Musical, and now, Something Rotten.
Casey Nicholaw: Casey choreographed Spamalot. Since Spamalot, Casey has directed and choreographed 8 different hits on Broadway, His next show is Tuck Everlasting that opens on April 26, 2016.
Brad Oscar: Besides Spamalot, Brad has been in The Addams Family, Nice Work If You Can Get It, Big Fish, and now, Something Rotten.
Edward Hibbert: I could not find any reference about Clay and Edward performing together, but you probably recognize this hard-working actor. He has been in at least 10 Broadway shows and many movies and TV shows. I remember him from Frasier!
Working together on a Broadway show must be exciting and having friends in the cast with you must make it more relaxing. I would imagine many of those friendships last a long time. It’s fun to learn about some of Clay’s professional colleagues.
It seems that Clay enjoys the theatre. I hope that someday he finds a part that he just can’t say no to.
Do you enjoy going to the theatre?
Do you have a favorite show (besides Spamalot)?
Nice seeing Clay enjoying his new-found life in New York City! I believe he will find a role that suits him. Hopefully a musical comedy, where he can show his talents as a singer and as a comedy actor!
Thank you, for sharing the pictures of Clay's reunion with his Broadway friends!
Looks like Clay is having fun catching up with friends and taking in the shows. Love it!!
I love musicals. There are too many to decide on a favorite. Les Miz, Jekyll and Hyde, Jane Eyre and Aspects of Love are probably at the top of the list. I’m also looking forward to Sara Bareilles’s Waitress. Should be good!!
Do I have to reopen my membership in the clay aiken fan club to see the concert.?Please let me know. I want to see it so bad.
At this moment, Clay does not have a fan club that you must join to see what he does. Of course, that can change at anytime. However, I know that Clay will let us know all the details to see the concert and we will help get the info out. Right now, we just need to relax and look forward to hearing his fabulous voice!!
Clay always makes forever friends wherever he goes, so I am not surprised to see these wonderful photos. Likewise, Clay has never taken his fans for granted and continues to communicate with us in so many ways. We are blessed indeed!
well it looks as though clay is once again catching up with frienjds and spamalot cast members and hes taking in the broad way shows this is a good thing and ilike it
