On June 21, 2010, Clay participated in a wonderful event titled Bringing Broadway Home. It was a spectacular benefit concert for the North Carolina Theatre. The concert, held at the Raleigh Memorial Auditorium, celebrated 27 seasons of Broadway at North Carolina Theatre. The stars of the evening were:
Clay Aiken, Lauren Kennedy, Sharon Lawrence, Terrence Mann and Quiana Parler.
Clay opened the concert with Home from The Wiz. It was so appropriate because this show was all about the homegrown talent from Raleigh.
Clay also sang Mack The Knife, What Kind of Fool Am I, This is the Moment, and Those Magic Changes.
He also sang duets with Quiana and Lauren. One of the highlights of the evening was Imagine by John Lennon. The entire ensemble joined together in an amazing performance of the wonderful song.
From all the reviews, the program was amazing and each singer brought so much to the stage.
Did you get to attend this concert? This was one that I didn’t get to attend and I am so sorry. I know I would have enjoyed it.
Thank goodness for CLACK!!
Wouldn’t it be fun to have another concert for the NC Theatre?
Clay was as close to perfection as possible in our world! He sang and looked so very amazing! I didn’t get to this show either. We missed a very thrilling event! Thank you for these wonderful pics and the video.
Thank you for all the pictures and the video. The pictures are great. I love the video. This is one of my favorite songs. Clay sings this song the best. I wish I was there in NC to see him with the other people. It must have been a great show. Thank you CANN.
You just made my day. Watching Clay in these videos brings back the ‘good old days’ when we could count on seeing him in concert every summer. I didn’t see the Bringing Broadway Home concert in person, but I sure do love it when you post the videos. Thanks CANN.
I have watched all the videos from this concert, and in my opinion, this was Clay at his best. He brought the house down with every song. His voice was the best I have ever heard it! He was remarkable! Thank you CNN for these wonderful pictures and song!
