October is the 10th month of the year according to the Gregorian calendar, which is used in almost all of the world today.
The opal is the birthstone for October and the calendula is the flower for the month.
It is always interesting to look at the calendar when a new month starts…I get a good laugh at many of the days, weeks, and specials that last the entire month. Did you know that in October we celebrate: ~ National Caramel Month ~ National Liver Awareness Month ~ Bat Appreciation Month ~ National Chili Month ~ Feral Hog Month ~~~
I also enjoy remembering all the different events that were a part of Clay Aiken’s October!!
On 10-22-03, Clay was surprised on Good Morning America with the news that his first album sold 3-times Platinum- in one week!
I have to stop…there are so many other October events…but all of these are great!!
Clay has had a very exciting life and done so many varied events
I hope that he adds something in this October that we can celebrate too!

My daughter and I were so happy to be at the Park West PBS concert! on Oct. 14, 2010. It was so much fun and the laughter just went on and on! Clay always seemed to have so much energy – he always lights up the stage.
Love all of the pics.
Favorite things about Oct. – cooling off in the weather – the leaves changing colors!
Seeing what Clay will do this month besides W of F – hope he enjoys that!
Thank you for all the pictures. I love them all. Clay has done a lot in the month of October. I like the colors of the leaves that are changing in the fall. Thank you CANN.
