A Holiday To Remember – Clay Aiken!

Labor Day is more than just a day off from school and work. It is a great time to think about the history of the national holiday and its importance in America.

One of the traditions of Labor Day used to be the annual Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon. The star-studded variety show would last almost 24 hours. It entertained, informed and more importantly, raised funds for MDA.

In 2003, Clay Aiken was a guest on the MDA Telethon. He sang “Bridge Over Troubled Water” and received glowing comments from Jerry Lewis.

I hope you all have a wonderful holiday! But don’t forget that it is Labor Day!

  1. I was at the lake with friends on Labor Day and we all sat around to watch the telethon, which was so special because Clay was a guest!

  2. I remember that Labor Day – Clay was so appreciated by Jerry Lewis! The next year they used the tape of that segment and we got to see it all again – not the Jerry Lewis part but Just Clay singing!
