Clay Aiken – Survived

While visiting the web today, I came across some amazing things. Some things were about Clay Aiken and some were just about music.

I found many sites that have lists of music quotes.  My favorite site is The Quote Garden.  Here are three quotes that I found wonderful.

Without music life would be a mistake.  ~Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche

Music is what feelings sound like.  ~Author Unknown

Music produces a kind of pleasure which human nature cannot do without.  ~Confucius

Well, if Nietzsche and Confucius need music, then we do too.  Clay, we need some music!!

My web-hunting took me to YouTube and I found so many wonderful videos.  This one by Gerwhisp is “I Survived You.”  Of course the music is wonderful, but more important, the pictures are amazing and remind us what is important in life.  Please take a look and enjoy!!

  1. Clay Aiken is a strong human being who makes amazing music. But the thing about Clay is he is so much more than just a voice. He works hard for the children of the world.

Thank you for posting that gem by Gerwhisp honoring our gem of a man.

  2. musicfan,

Great blog about Clay Aiken and the importance of music! The montage by Gerwhisp is a tru celebration of the man.

“I Survived You” is special because I knew one of the writers back in Nashville. I just may have to rerun that entry. *g*

    Have a great weekend!

  3. That was a great video..thanks for posting that…

It’s always good to remember all the good that Clay does.
He carries on…doing what he needs to do in this life…It’s unfortunate that there are people out there that don’t have a life, and do nothing good for people. Perhaps if they did good things, they would feel better about themselves..but they have to get to the point where “It’s not all about me”..Some never get it…

Clay is one in a million that figured out a long time ago, that a life of service is more rewarding than anything…. He is very wise for such a young man…

Thanks again for bringing this montage of Gerwhisp’s over…I loved it.

    Hugs,
    Judy

  4. Thank you! This Clay Aiken fan nearly forgot the importance of good music until Clay came into my life. I’m so grateful to him for that.
His music and caring work for the children of the world are but a few of his amazing qualities.

Gerwhisp’s montage of “I Survived You” is a favourite.

  5. Thanks for the video and the quotes.
Oh how I miss Clay Aiken and his music, can’t wait for his vacation and/or UNICEF trip to be over.

  6. “Without music life would be a mistake”
    ~Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche

Thank you for posting this. I heard this quote many years ago while I was a music major, and fully believe it 100%.

I hope wherever Clay Aiken is right now, he is doing good…..
    but that’s a given, isn’t it?

  7. Clay is such an amazing human being. He risked throwing his career away by having a baby with his best friend and announcing he was gay. It was the right thing to do. I admire his voice but admire his humanitarian heart even more. What a guy.

  8. Even when he’s invisible, Clay Aiken’s voice is never far from my heart and mind.

Somewhere a child is laughing because of him, and that’s all the music I need to hear right now.

  9. Great blog Musicfan!!! I love the song “I Survived You.” One of my all time favs. Especially when Clay Aiken sang it in concert.

I love the quotes. Music is so important in so many ways. And yes Clay………..we need some music from you soooon.

  10. Thank you for this video. Clay is such a caring man..and he has such a wonderful voice. Wherever he is..I know he will be back..better than before. We’ll be waiting with open arms!
