Clay Aiken – Tour Highlights

It is almost summer and since we aren’t expecting any concerts by Clay Aiken this summer, I thought we might re-visit a few special moments from the past.

On July 23, 2007, Clay and his team put on a wonderful concert in Sterling Heights.  Unfortunately,  one of Clay’s back-up singers, Angela Fisher was feeling poorly.  She was not able to sing her featured song that night.  So, Clay and Quiana improvised a duet of the song.  This impromptu performance ended up being a highlight of the tour.

The next month, the tour made its way to Ft. Myers, Florida.  The show was going well, but when it was time for Quiana’s solo, the lighting man just couldn’t get it right.  Somehow, he refused to shine the spotlight on anyone but Clay. After many hand signals and hints, Clay finally sat down on Quiana’s stool and she sat in front of him.  The performance ended up as a wonderful musical performance by Quiana and some good giggles from Clay.  You just have to see this one.  The title of the song “When The Lights Go Down” fit the problem completely.

And wow! Quiana’s “When the light go down” was beautiful. The funny stuff in the beginning was hilarious too!! Clay looked so peaceful resting behind her. I had to give that a standing ovation 😀 loved it!

  5. That SRHP Tour was the best! The duet they did was very good. I enjoyed that. I really loved the dueling that goes on with Angela and Quiana during IWTKWLI. Clay can sure hit those notes. Now, all we need is to get him out there to tour again. Wouldn’t mind a Christmas Tour..Hint..Hint!!

  6. Clay Aiken and Quiana singing that song together still remains one of my most favorite pieces of clack. The only thing that would have been better was to have been there to see it first hand. Thank heavens for our clack gatherers for bringing this memorable performace to all of us!

  7. What a treat reliving all these special memories!! Clay’s humor in the face of unforeseen complications is just hilarious and exceptional and make his tours so memorable! Can’t wait until we hear some news of the next one!!!!

Then when the spotlight kept following him on stage, so he let Quianna sit on his lap…..He really is one in a million…I just love this man.

Thanks CANN for the memories again!!! Love it!!!!
