Clay Aiken – Were You There?

It was just a year ago today that Clay Aiken performed his last performance of Spamalot on the stage of the Shubert Theater.  It was a night of celebration for the audience and the cast members.  From the look on Clay’s face, it was a night full of joy and excitement for him too.

Thank you, Clay for the great Broadway adventure.  Your performances as Sir Robin, Guard 1 and Brother Maynard were spot on and gave the audience lots of laughs.

I was lucky enough to see Clay perform in Spamalot and even was chosen as the peasant one night.  However, I was not there for the final show.  Were you there?

  1. I did see Clay in Spamalot, but I was not there for the closing.

Thank you for the wonderful pictures. I think that Clay enjoyed his time on Broadway and I expect that we will see him again, starring in a Broadway Musical.

  2. I did not see Clay for his final performance on Jan. 4/09.

I was very fortunate however, to see Spamalot in April of 2008 – 3 times, and then again for the second run in November of 2008 – 2 times…. Very fortunate indeed.

I loved the show, and Clay was wonderful…..I am convinced that whatever Clay Aiken tackles in the future..it will be great…he is just so talented…..

    Hugs,
    Judy

  4. I didn't get to see Clay in Spamalot, but would have loved to! I've watched all the videos made possible by all of you who put them together. From what I've seen, know Clay was awesome in his character roles, very funny and entertaining! Thanks for the great pictures!

  5. I was there for both closings and had a wonderful time! It was very emotional and Clay was just great in Spamalot!!

  6. I loved this show so much. Never laughed so much in my whole life. Clay Aiken is so talented as were all the others in that show.

  7. Musicfan,

Thank you for a special commemoration of Clay Aiken's 1/4/09 "Spamalot" finale. I only saw the show through the recaps of others and snips of clack that appeared on TV. Still, it was amazing!

Many thnx for your kind remarks in the Carolina blog. Have a great week!

  8. I didn't get to go see Clay Aiken in Spamalot, but thanks to our recappers who wrote detailed reports, and the snippets on TV, I really enjoyed what I did get to see. Thanks for posting the wonderful pictures! Yes, I've seen them before, but you can never see pictures of Clay enough times!

  9. I could not make it to any of the Spamalot performances, but I enjoyed all the pictures and video’s we got from the Stage Door. It was just like being there. From what I heard, he was the best Sir Robin.

  10. I was there for Clay Aiken's first final performance and saw him up on the theater roof. I saw him in his second run, but wasn't able to go to the finale.
