Clay Aiken – Ah, The Possibilities!

Does Clay Aiken know the excitement that he creates in the ClayNation when he blogs and especially when he asks for our help?

It has been so much fun reading at Clay Aiken fan boards for the past few days.  The majority of Clay’s fans are ready and willing to do whatever they can to back Clay in his professional endeavors.

With the Tried & True Tour only six weeks away, the announcements about the tour are beginning to show up all over the web.

Did you see this article from The Verizon Theater in Grand Prairie, Texas.  It is a wonderful write-up that relates so much information about Clay and the Tried & True album.  The following is only a small part of the article.  To read the entire article, visit VerizonTheater. The picture they use is nice too.

Clay Aiken has never sounded more at home than he does singing the lushly arranged classics on his fifth studio album Tried and True – the international pop phenomenon’s first album for Decca Records. The bulk of the album – which showcases Aiken’s powerful tenor voice and considerable interpretive gifts – is made up of songs from the ’50s and ’60s that Aiken grew up listening to as a child in Raleigh, North Carolina……..

“Timeless” tour-goers will no doubt be delighted with the classics that appear on Tried and True. “I’ve done well with adult audiences in the past,” Aiken says, “whereas my past albums have been about trying to sing songs just because they might appeal to Top 40 radio, this album is a chance to do what I want to do: Sing songs that I think are great and not try to put a square peg in a round hole.”

WRCH Lite 100.5FM is a radio station in Farmington, CT.  Their format is Adult Contemporary.  On December 27th, they posted an announcement about Clay’s tour and they plugged his concert on February 20th.  The tour is making a stop at the Palace Theater in Waterbury, CT.  Why not visit the site and leave a comment.  It would be nice for the radio station to know that Clay Aiken has lots of funs that support the tour and are looking forward to hearing his music on their radio station.  It’s easy….you don’t even have to register.  You can visit the webpage by visiting WRCH

The Houston Symphony just mailed out a bulletin regarding upcoming performances.  On the front is a picture of Clay and it includes the date and time of the concert.  Inside the bulletin they wrote the following:

The following billboard was seen this week in Pittsburgh.  Wish we had something like this near my home.

We only have six weeks to wait for the tour.  Lets hope we see a lot more great promotion for Clay and the tour.  Are you lucky enough to have tickets to attend a concert?  Which one are you attending?

  1. I am so excited. I will be seeing Clay at the Verizon on Grand Prarie so that link made my day. Can't wait!! 🙂

  2. Thanks so much for posting all this information. It really does increase the excitement!

I am lucky enough to be going to see Clay in Orlando. I received the tickets through PBS in October and it seemed like such a long time away but it's not too much longer. I 'dragged' along a friend to see Clay and Ruben in Melbourne this past summer. It was my first Clay concert (I only 'found' him in October 2008) and she came with me just because she is a good friend BUT….she ended up having as good a time as I did. So much so that she is coming to see him with me again in February.

  3. Have tickets to the Houston concert. Taking my daughter. She has never been to a Clay aiken concert. Not a Clay fan, not her genre. Listened to his x-mas music and fell in love with his voice. Now she's excited about going to his concert.

  4. 😀 San Francisco here!! Looking forward to a trip with my family – this will be my son's third concert, here's hoping he can actually see this time LOL!! He's quite the traveler – he's been to Chicago, Reno and now San Francisco to see Clay and he's verra verra excited about this one.

  5. Can't believe how fast the time has flown by. Soon we will be in the audience swooning with our eyes and ears over Clay. Glad to all who are able to make a concert and sad for those who can't. Thank heavens for Clack Unlimited, without whom we would miss so much.

Clay's blogs really do make the world go around for a lot of us. To me other than "WE WON" (referring to the lottery of course) the most exciting words to hear are "Clay Blogged". We all go rushing to see what the Man has to say.

Hope you all are having a wonderful holiday season.

  6. Love seeing all the promo. The excitement is building–hope we do hear UM on the radio.

Looking forward to the February concert in CT on the 20th.

  7. Yes…the excitement is getting fun.. I'm so blessed to be able to see 3 Clay concerts…Miami, Orlando and Sarasota. There are 8 of us flying to Florida. This is gonna be so much fun.. I am looking so forward to seeing and hearing Clay again with my friends….

    Hugs, Judy

  8. I enjoyed reading all about Clay and the venues he is appearing in. Makes it more exciting. I will be going to the Hard Rock Cafe in Orlando on Feb. 11 to see Clay. My daughter will be going with me. She is a big fan too. She thinks he is the most handsomest and best singer in the world. She usually only posts about him on Facebook. I will keep on requesting UM. I hope we get a lot of stations to play him.
