Clay Aiken -There Really Is No Substitute For Working Hard.

On March 9, 2009, Annie Duke was interviewed for Poker News Daily.  Annie was the runner up of the second season of Celebrity Apprentice.  Some of the things Annie talked about are very interesting.

Ask to describe a typical day on the set of Celebrity Apprentice, Annie said:

…We’d usually leave for the task presentation around 6:30am or 7:00am. The tasks would go until about 11:00 at night. Then, you’d go back to the hotel. You’d go to sleep at 12:30am or 1:00am and then start over the next day. I’d say it was about three to five hours of sleep per night. On boardroom days, the task would be done at 2:00pm and the boardroom took place at 5:00pm. You’d be done by about 9:00pm or 9:30pm. Each task is two days long and they shoot three episodes per week.

It certainly sounds like the celebrities have to work very hard at each task.  I do believe that Clay Aiken is used to working hard.  He will do well!!

So…today this blog is about Clay and hard work.  Enjoy!!

The daily grind of hard work gets a person polished.

Hard work is painful when life is devoid of purpose. But when you live for something greater than yourself and the gratification of your own ego, then hard work becomes a labor of love.

~Steve Pavlina

Every man’s work, whether it be literature or music or pictures or architecture or anything else, is always a portrait of himself.

~ Elbert Hubbard

Are you bored with life? Then throw yourself into some work you believe in with all you heart, live for it, die for it, and you will find happiness that you had thought could never be yours.

~ Dale Carnegie

I think that my biggest attribute to any success that I have had is hard work. There really is no substitute for working hard.

Always give a hundred percent, and you’ll never have to second-guess yourself.

  1. Wow, sounds like a rough schedule but Clay can do anything. He's very dedicated. I hope he is doing well and having fun. 🙂

  2. Thank you for all of the great photos! I admire all of the contestants on this show. I don't think I could function on that little of rest.
But! I was always taught that a little hard work and and a lot of determination never hurt anyone.
    Clay has that in spades!

  3. Great pictures.
Clay Aiken is a hardworking man who believes in being prepared, I am sure he will do well on Celebrity Apprentice. Go Clay Go!

  4. I'm certain Clay has put his all into this show and whatever happens, he'll be a winner! He has never been afraid of hard work and long hours his entire working life. I also believe he prepared himself for CApp. Good Luck, Clay!!

  5. yes, thank you Musicfan for the beautiful pics. I always love it when Clay is with someone in a wheelchair or a child…he always bends down, so that he is on the same level as them…Eye to eye. Clay is a hard worker, and I'm sure he has conditioned himself for this show. Go Clay Go!!! We are all behind him…..

  6. =) I cannot wait to see this show when it airs! It's all been very interesting and lots of fun (at least most of the time – Boardroom nights are a little intense, can't even imagine what it's like for those participating).

    Thanks for the photos!

  7. I believe Clay wants this win bad enough to work as hard as he needs to to win it all. Touring will seem a lot easier after this adventure.

  8. Thanks for all those gorgeous pictures of Clay. He certainly is a stunner! Awww! They need more hours of sleep than that. But, Clay is a hard worker…so, he will survive. Also, I know he prepared for CA very well. I remember when he went to Afghanistan for Unicef…he even studied what they wore there…and dressed for it. I remember him saying that after he got all those clothes…they weren't even dressed like that. Oh, well, just shows how well he plans for things. Go Clay Go! We're all behind you.

  9. Love these pictures! I wonder what folks who have not followed Clay since AI, will think of his look now. Back then he was a skinny kid and today he is a very handsome man.
