Clay Aiken – The Gift of Live Music

The great American Composer Aaron Copland once said,

“To stop the flow of music would be like stopping the flow of time itself; incredible and inconceivable.”

It does seem that music is the one thing in life that remains constant amid the world of trends and phases that come and go. It enhances our minds, imaginations and emotions and is universally engraved in our culture.

However, it seems that some people today surprisingly enjoy listening to music, but have never attended a live performance, live show, or concert. As you can imagine from my board name, I am an avid concert-goer and music fan. For me, the one and only thing better than music itself, is the beauty of experiencing music live, especially if it is a Clay Aiken concert.

Loads of music fans feel an uncontrollable sense of happiness, thrill and excitement seeing their favorite artist perform live. It is like a dream come true!! If you have attended a live music show or concert anytime in your life, you will surely agree that such events are the experience of a lifetime that will stay with you forever.

Once the stage is set, the spotlights are turned on and Clay Aiken takes his place, the fans begin to absorb and take in every second of the performance, swaying with the music and singing along with their Idol!!

Besides being fun, concerts first and foremost have been proven to benefit your health. This may sound ludicrous to some people, but it’s true.

Music therapy is a widely used technique that enhances well being, reduces stress and distracts a person from unpleasant symptoms, sicknesses or disorders, according to the Southern Medical Journal. The Journal says:

β€œIt has been proven that music exerts direct physiologic effects through the autonomic nervous system.”

Basically, this means it effectively reduces anxiety and enhances a sense of comfort and relaxation in medical, surgical, intensive care or mentally ill patients, from young kids to grown adults.

According to a recent study done by the American Music Therapy Association, music can also help improve an individual’s standard of living, by managing stress, enhancing memory and improving communication.

The holiday season Β is just a few months away, and the holidays are by far is one of the best seasons to see a live show. And, this year, Clay Aiken is touring during the holidays.

So I urge you; please treat yourself with the priceless gift of live music. Music generally has greater immediacy and emotional effects when it is a live recording or live performance.

So, what are you waiting for? You only live once. Going to a live Clay Aiken show is a must-have experience that you will never forget and that just might hook you forever into attending concerts for other artists too.

  1. I have been to quite a few concerts and live shows – but only Clay can work the special magic that
has me wanting to go to everyone I can!!! There are no others that can do that for me! It is always
money well spent with Clay on stage! I am very sure that his concerts have kept me in good health –
    no doubts whatsoever. πŸ™‚

  2. There is nothing like being at a live concert, and Clay puts on one of the best shows ever. I hope he comes somewhere close to me with his Christmas tour.

  3. I have been to a few of Clay''s concerts and always leave them feeling like I need more. Nothing better than Clay live and nothing worse than that feeling.

  4. It's true Musicfan, music is good for the soul. I have health issues, but when I know I can go and see Clay in concert, my hopes, my energy and my excitement for living all come together. There is just nothing like seeing Clay on stage. He always leaves me wanting to see more shows. The other wonderful thing is that Clay's fans gather before shows, and then afterwards. It really is an experience, and something I would not trade for the world.

  5. Well, you convinced me!! (Not that I really even needed convincing.)
But, how interesting to learn about the health benefits of music.
Another health benefit for me has been listening to Clay while I walk. I always end up walking longer than I'd planned to–just to hear a few more songs!
Hoping a Christmas concert comes to my area–it'll just complete the holiday season for me.

Thanks for another great and informative article!!

  6. While I've never been to a concert (of any kind), I was blessed to get to see Clay and Quiana perform live last year at the NIP Gala. I just sat there with my mouth agape. I was beyond mesmerized at Clay's voice. Every note was perfection from Invisible to Bring Back My Love. Quiana sang one Christmas song that literally brought me to tears. I was literally sobbing. I love the emotion that they convey when they are live. I won't be missing my chance to see them in concert this time! πŸ™‚

  7. i have seen every concert that i have seen everone from clay aiken ta wayne newton but clays concerts the 2 concerts the independent tour and the jute box tour it was a blessing and it was amazing to see clay sing

  8. My crotchety old uncle constantly grouches about spending money on books when they're free at the library or spending money on records when the radio is free. Go to a concert? Waste of money!

Our answer for the crotchety grouch . . . it's the ultimate surround sound system for the soul! In terms only the grouch would understand: its the difference between "watching" basketball "alone" on TV for FREE and going to the game in person where you "participate" with other fans and "feel" the experience. Clay always sounds better live than recorded on a CD (in my opinion anyway) and his real magic is the visual delivery of a song (he's go darn cute and what an actor – he sure can "emote" when he sings). That's what I can't get for free from a CD or the radio -Clay Concerts are worth EVERY SINGLE PENNY. CC8
