Clay Aiken – Check Your Clock!

Daylight saving time officially ended this morning at 2 a.m.  For most people, the clocks were set back an hour, which makes brighter mornings but darker evenings. (Hawaii and most of Arizona do not observe daylight savings time.)  Most of North America, Europe and parts of Australia and South America use DST.

Did you remember to re-set your clocks?

On Saturday, I spent a bit of time trying to remember what Clay Aiken was up to last year at this time…I knew he was in New York filming for Celebrity Apprentice, but what task was going on?  I finally had to look it up and found an article that helped me remember.

From The Enquirer
Twisted Sister frontman Dee Snider was done up in drag and ready to compete on “Celebrity Apprentice 5″ when he broke his finger! Dressed as a maiden for a renaissance fair segment, the 56-year-old rocker was attempting to ride a horse side-saddle when the animal bucked. And that’s when Dee felt his finger snap, a show insider told The Enquirer exclusively.

It hurt like hell, but Dee didn’t want to make a big deal about it because he’s so into the competition,” the source explained. “But two days later, his hand was black and blue, and he was in excruciating pain. He was taken to the hospital and had surgery. He had four pins put in and will be in a semi-cast for the next three weeks.”

Meanwhile, the latest cast of Donald Trump’s reality series includes “American Idol” runner-up Clay Aiken, “Real Housewives of New Jersey” star Teresa Giudice, former supermodel Cheryl Tiegs, TV’s original “Hulk” Lou Ferrigno, one-time teen pop star Debbie Gibson, former talk-show host Arsenio Hall and “Star Trek” actor George Takei.

Although Dee’s injury is a setback for the men’s team, the source added that the women’s team is in such disarray that “the guys have nothing to worry about.” “Dee’s one of the strongest players on the men’s team and he’ll definitely bounce back,” the source continued. “The joke on the set is that the producers should have kept him in drag and switched him over to assist the women’s team because they need all the help they can get!”

I certainly did not like the results of last years Celebrity Apprentice, but I sure enjoyed following along, trying to get news while the cast was filming the show…then seeing it on TV.  It is always so much fun to see Clay on TV each week!

The following are a few pictures from the Renaissance fair segment.

One of my favorites

  1. I did follow along and treasured every bit of information we got–so exciting.
I'm so proud of how Clay handled himself. We all know that he was the true winner.
Just seeing those pictures makes me want to go back and watch that episode again.
Maybe that's what I'll do with the extra hour today!!

  2. I definitely followed along with the taping of CA. It was so fun to see the pictures ahead of time and then see how it all played out on the show. I didn’t like the rests either but it was sure fun watching Clay every week. 🙂

  3. I sure followed every second of the taping of CA! It was fun watching Clay every week and seeing the Clack the fans were able to get.

  4. I followed every single second he was on the show. Loved seeing those pictures of him from TCA. It was fun to see him on my TV every week.

Glad that we changed our time back again. It gets light so much earlier..and I can go for my daily walk much sooner now. I wish they would just leave the time alone though.
