Wednesday, September 3rd was a busy day for Clay Aiken. It was interesting that the news came from social networking!
Clay and his team used twitter to let people know what he was doing:
Clay followed this up with another tweet:
Read about the importance of Veterans Treatment Courts in my @HuffPostPol article: http://huff.to/1ohPpcj #ncpol #nc02
The following is what Clay wrote about the Veterans Treatment Counts:
Expanding Veterans Treatment Courts
Veterans often face difficulties transitioning into civilian life. Unfortunately, that can sometimes lead them into criminal behavior.
Veterans Treatment Courts focus on rehabilitation when mental health and substance abuse problems prompted criminal activity. These courts are modeled after successful drug courts.
In North Carolina, we opened our first Veterans Treatment Court in Harnett County in 2013. But these courts need to be more accessible to all of our veterans.
Congress needs to move on passing H.R. 2187 – Service member Assistance for Lawful Understanding Treatment and Education Act, which was reintroduced in the U.S. House in May 2013 by Rep. Patrick Meehan (R-PA-07). It’s time to take action on providing veterans the justice they deserve.

It is interesting to see the important groups that Clay is able to meet with…each visit is important to let the voters of District2, NC know more about Clay and his ideas for making their life a bit easier.
I would imagine that we will be hearing more and more about visits that Clay will be making as we get closer to the General election in November.
Remember, Clay…take your vitamins, sleep when you can, and savor every moment of this amazing experience!!
I get tired just reading about all that Clay does daily! Thanks for locating all of the info that is posted on line and sharing it with us.
