“Today, I will be too calm for worry, too noble for anger and too strong for defeat. Today, I will believe anything is possible…I will walk through fear without hesitation. Today, I will stand for something.
Today, I will make a difference.”
Today, I dedicate this article to Rahma Salie and Michael Theodoridis. These two young people were on the way to California to participate in my son and daughter-in-law’s wedding. They, and their unborn baby will always hold a special place in our hearts.
Each week, the North Carolina Democratic Party post a week-in-review on their website. It is titled, Good News About Democrats.
This week, the article features a picture o Clay Aiken and a nice write-up on the speech he gave at the Moore County Democratic Dinner.
Second District Congressional Candidate Clay Aiken spoke at length about the value of a good education and how engaged parents give a child an advantage in life. He also spoke out against the growing problem of college debt and the unfair situation the GOP has created with its oppressive new NC voting law.
Clay pledged to lend his voice, made famous with his success on American idol, to the voiceless citizens of North Carolina in Washington. He noted that the current GOP Congresswoman had done almost nothing to help the people in her district while rarely coming
back to North Carolina.
On Wednesday afternoon, Clay sent a new tweet with a picture.
I would imagine that Clay was given a lot of information about military spouses today. I am sure it was an interesting time!
I look forward to hearing about all the exciting things that Clay will be doing today!
For Clay, everyday is different – everyday is important – and everyday he gains more voters!
musicfan? You knew two people and their unborn child on one of the planes? If so I am so sorry! So sad. 🙁
Clay is sending wonderful tweets with his picture isn't he! I had a dream last night that I got my selfie with him. However I had to wake up, lol. He's gonna win this thing! I am having good thoughts and hoping it will come true! Clay for Congress!
Rahma was a close friend of my DIL. They went to high school together. It was such a sad time for everyone.
musicfan, that must have been so heartbreaking. I am so sorry for your DIL sweetie.
Good morning musicfan and gaymarie1 and all Clay fans.
He is trying so hard ..so dedicated to this election. I am proud of him..I loved the singer man, but love this Clay even more…he was a Voice before, now he is a voice with a big heart.
Yeh, I love him.
Yeh, I love him.
I remember that your son and daughter in law lost friends that day. I didn't remember that they were on their way to the wedding. I cannot even imagine such a loss.
I agree with Kitstj and love Clay more than ever. He is one in a billion.
So very sad that your family lost your precious friends on 9/11. Thank you for your beautiful tribute to the heroes and the victims of this horrific event – and to the unwavering resilience of the American spirit of brotherhood, hope and care for one another that brought together the hearts of the nation, as well as volunteers from all over the country and beyond – to search for survivors, give generously of resources, and minister to those who had lost everything dear to them. This spirit is what makes America great – and it is something no terrorist attack can ever destroy. So proud of Clay for choosing to serve the community and the nation he loves so well – and for offering his own remembrance of the day.
