My voice will not be silenced, I will continue to use my platform to speak up for what I believe.”
~ Clay Aiken ~
As most of you know, I am in North Carolina and attended the watch party for Clay Aiken. Although the results are not what any of us wanted or expected, I am so glad that I was there to experience the love, support, friendship, and determination that I witnessed.
A big thank you to all of you who spoke with me at the party. Your love and support means so very much.
I hope that you will allow me a pass right now. It is 1 AM and I have to get up at 4AM to make my early flight home. I promise when I get home, I will write a comprehensive review of the evening.
SueReu took some amazing pictures of the event and is allowing me to use them.
If you would like to see Clays speech from Tuesday night, you can see it at WRAL

Thank you all again for supporting CANN. I will write after I get some much needed rest!
I could not e more proud of Clay. He climbed a mountain and did an awesome job! When he started no one took him serious. Won the Primary and then convinced over 75,000 people to vote for him for Congress. We all know what NC missed out on by not electing Clay. But like he said "I will not be silenced:", PROUD OF YOU CLAY.
Thanks Musicfan and have a good rest, we'll be looking forward to more news, sad that Clay didn't win but glad that he's not giving up being a voice for people who need it, It was a great campaign and happy that i was able to follow him the past 9 months through your posts, he did great and he's still a winner. xox
Soooo glad you and Sue were able to attend! I think I actually SAW Suerue taking pictures and I was looking for YOU too but never spotted you. Yes I was crying when Clay's numbers ended up they way they did. He's going to come back stronger than ever. He is destined to do something even better! I love him and am so proud to be a supporter/fan of this wonderful man!! Safe travels!!
How does he lose the election & come out sounding like a winner? He comforts, appreciates, inspires and motivates all of us….even when I'm sure his heart was breaking. He can be very proud of himself and the campaign he ran. I am proud of him.
Compare to Elmer 's speech…..she sounded self centered and spoiled. It was mostly about how great she is. Did you notice that no one behind her was smiling?
Clay remains the ultimate class act & the true Measure of a Man!!
It was such a pleasure to meet you and Sue last night. We were all exhausted and sad, but Clay, as usual, left us with hope and admiration for the man we all love. Your quote from the speech was the perfect way to express how we are feeling. Great work as usual.
