Thursday is usually a rather quiet day, but yesterday, Clay Aiken was mentioned on at least three busy sites.
Clay started the day by sending a tweet about a woman being featured on a new $10 bill in 2020 :
My votes: ROSA PARKS or JEANETTE RANKIN #TheNew10
U.S. Treasury Secretary Jack Lew is asking the public for help to choose the lady.
The department launched a website, and is asking for input over social media with the hashtag #TheNew10. Good to see Clay answering immediately. Of course I knew Rosa Parks immediately, but I admit I had to look up Jeanette Rankin – the first woman elected to the United States Congress in 1916 and again in 1940, from the state of Montana.
It seems that many news sites picked up Clay’s vote:
The Christian Science Monitor
A woman’s portrait will soon appear on the $10 bill. But it can’t be Beyoncé.
The Treasury Department is asking for suggestions of women to feature for a new note set to be revealed in 2020…
….Singer Clay Aiken tweeted his proposal for Ms. Parks or Jeannette Rankin, the first American Congresswoman…
You can read the entire article at MONITOR
Not a big mention, but good enough to be posted at other sites too.

The Advocate.com wrote the following article that was published on Thursday:
33 Famous Gay Dads for Father’s Day
This Sunday, give a big Father’s Day hug to Ricky Martin, Neil Patrick Harris, and Perez Hilton — as well as the rest of our highest-profile gay dads.
Clay Aiken
Clay Aiken and platonic baby-making partner Jaymes Foster welcomed their first child together in North Carolina in August 2008.
The site has at least one picture for each father and child and a comment under each picture. It seems to be filled with beautiful families. Stop by…it’s worth the time! You can see the article at ADVOCATE
I look forward to being able to write exciting, up-to-date news about Clay.
I hope it will be “soon”.
What woman do you want to see on the $10.00 bill?

Just a quick note – Our hearts are hurting for all the people of Charleston, South Carolina, but especially for our dear friend, Quiana Parler. Quiana, I hope you know that your Clay Family of friends are all thinking of you at this difficult time for your city and state!
My first thought about the $10 was Eleanor Roosevelt! Also, my heart goes out to the victims and families of the senseless violence inn Charleston, S.C. People are not born to hate, but are taught to hate! Quiana was on my mind, too!
So sad about what happened in Charleston. These things go on far too much. Something has to be done. I watched Jon Stewart last night, and I totally agreed with him, that nothing will be done…..And as much as I think he speaks the truth…there has to be those people that will not give up, and fight the good fight… I hope some form of gun control takes shape.
I couldn't even guess as to who to put on the $10. US bill. Someone that has given much to shape America, would be my guess. Please no Beyonce.
I too thought of Eleanor Roosevelt for the $10 bill. She was quite a woman who had a big impact on our country. What more can one say about Charleston S.C.? Will these senseless killings ever end?
im thinking of wonder woman for the 10 dollor bill this evil kid what a bad herfic senceless thing that bad kid what more can i say its a tragity that the church people died because of the kid im verry sad and angry that this happend i hope that the give him the death penilty
