Clay Aiken – A Conspiracy Of Love

During 2004 and 2005, Clay Aiken toured throughout the United States during the holiday season. Called The Joyful Noise Tours, Clay presented a program that was filled with joy and was a beautiful way to celebrate the holidays.

One of the most breathtaking moments of the concert was actually the encore. Good News is a dramatic song which conveys the true meaning of Christmas. The song was originally performed by the Christian Group, Avalon. Clay’s performance of the song was exquisite and brought many people to tears.

Good news / Good news
An angel brings Good news
Good news / Good news
I leave you with Good news
Close your eyes / Fold your hands
For a moment let your sorrow fade
Why, oh, why are you afraid

Has this world stripped you of your faith
Close your eyes and on bended knee
Listen to an angel pray
And once again prepare the way
So you’ll see a gift that’s given
For you a time of joy/ Behold a baby boy
Good news / Good news
An angel brings Good news
Good news / Good news
I leave you with Good news
Bow your head / Speak not a word
Let the silence take you far from here
The spirit of a child dry every tear
And may your doubts they disappear
Bow your head and on bended knee
Hear the story once again
The child grew up to wear a cross

A child grew up to pledge a life
For us a time of joy / Behold, Christ a baby boy
Good news / Good news
An angel brings Good news
Good news / Good news
I leave you with Good news
For us His only Son
In a manger wrapped in swaddling clothes
Christ the Savior, Christmas day
All our burdens washed away
We break the bread
We pour the wine
And angels descend with a heavenly sigh
Good news / Good news
An angel brings Good news
Good news / Good news
I leave you with…
I leave you with

Good news

The following video was recorded during the  2005 tour.

I would imagine you will just have to watch it more than once.

I certainly would  love to see Clay sing this song again.

Did you ever hear Clay sing this song live at a concert?

  1. Never heard the song live but I have seen it on YouTube several times. I love the Linda Huber drawings of him during this tour. I didn't see Clay in concert until 2007.

  2. Clay is alone on stage and this glorious voice is singing a beautiful song: so peaceful and breathtaking! A perfect way to end the concert!
Thank you, CANN for starting my day with Clay!

  3. I saw one Joyful Noise concert in St Louis. Clay was fighting the flu. I felt so sorry for him. I enjoyed the video. Clay and Christmas time just seem to go together. Blessed Christmas to CANN and all Clay fans. ❤️ UNCONDITIONAL love for you Clay. God bless America.

  4. If I had to choose one song that I've seen Clay sing live (what a hard job that would be!), I think it would be Good News. This song and his performance of it, are just so emotional. He brings tears to my eyes and puts love in my heart. Thank you for sharing this!

  5. I had never herd clay sing good news live but I did hear him singing it on you tube he sure does have a amazing voice

  6. I did hear Clay sing this song in Concert with Quiana and Angela and it was magnificent to put it mildly. He has such a way off expression in doing such meaningful music. It was a truly spiritual experience. God has blessed Clay with so much more than just a beautiful voice. He can reach so deep – not only to the heart but to the soul!

  7. Yes I did, several times. The first time I heard it was at Sewell NJ in 2004. Such a spiritual experience. I really felt like he went somewhere else during the song. The funny thing is that on the ride home, my DH and I both started to say it to each other at the same time. And that was the first time DH had seen him live. So I thought that was pretty incredible .
