No, No…No panic. Yes…this is a blog about the talented Clay Aiken.
But for some reason, this musical came into my mind when I was trying to decide what to write about today
…and it wouldn’t go away…so…
Sunday In The Park With George is a Broadway musical written by the talented Stephen Sondheim.
Inspired by the painting, A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte by Georges Seurat, Sunday in the Park with George, merges past and present into beautiful, poignant truths about life, love and the creation of art.
The Broadway production of the show opened in 1984. The musical won the 1985 Pulitzer Prize for Drama, two Tony Awards, and many Drama Desk Awards.
I have to admit that I have never seen the live show, but I have heard the music many times. My favorite recording is the original Broadway production starring Mandy Patinkin and Bernadette Peters. The orchestration is absolutely beautiful!

So…school is over and we are back to Clay Aiken. How is the show related to Clay??? Well…I told you!! The title of the show kept running through my mind and I had to find a way to work it out…
Even if it is a silly relationship!! Don’t laugh…
It is Sunday and Clay has spent many “Days In The Park”.
Well….There are many more park pictures…but…this is all we can do today!!
I hope you have a wonderful Sunday In The Park With ?(Clay)
Cedar Point Park strikes a note with me as I live very near Sandusky where it is located. Our family spent many happy visits there when our children were growing up. Clay and his team spent a Sunday there between the Columbus and Sterling Hgts shows on the SRHP
Tour. Too bad we didn't know!
Sunday in the Park sounds lovely!
I would love to spend some time in the park, especially with Clay! I know he spends time in the morning taking Harlem out for activities. Everyone have a fantastic Sunday!
And on a side note I sure wouldn’t mind seeing Clay in SIPWG. I’d like to hear him sing finishing the hat and putting it together.
