In 1954, the Erroll Garner Trio introduced an instrumental song titled “Misty.” About a year later, Johnny Burke penned the lyrics, creating the song that is well-known today. “Misty” remained relatively unknown until Johnny Mathis popularized the vocal version with his million-selling recording in 1959.
Although it was never a number one hit, “Misty” has been performed by hundreds of instrumentalists and vocalists.
Misty
Look at me, I’m as helpless as a kitten up a tree,
And I feel like I’m clinging to a cloud, I can’t understand,
I get misty, just holding your hand.
Walk my way, and a thousand violins begin to play,
Or it might be the sound of your hello, that music I hear,
I get misty, the moment you’re near…
Clay Aiken recorded this beautiful song for his CD, Tried & True.
Clay has such a beautiful voice…this song shows it off!

Clay has so much control just perfect. This is great, I love a little up-beat music sometime. He can do that to, just keep singing,
