Clay Aiken – Have You Voted Today?

Today is Tuesday, May 17, 2022. It is voting day for the state of North Carolina.

It’s especially exciting because Clay Aiken will find out if he wins today’s vote.

The following paragraph reminds us all about Clay and his desire to work in politics.

Clay Aiken, the former “American Idol” contestant, said on Monday that he was running for Congress in North Carolina, in his second attempt to represent the state where he grew up.

On his new website, Mr. Aiken, 43, referred to himself as a “loud and proud Democrat” and said he would be running in a newly drawn district that includes Durham and Chapel Hill. Representative David E. Price, a Democrat who currently represents much of that area, announced his retirement in October. BY NY Times – By Christine Hauser

Clay has been very busy. It seems he is out visiting people and talking with as many people that he could. I really enjoyed the following paragraph posted in the ABC – Channel 11.

“That’s one thing I’ve been able to do for the past 19 years when it comes to issues with UNICEF or children with special-needs. I want to be able to use that voice, that platform to bring attention here to the district. Because we’re losing (retiring Rep. David Price) whose had such an impact, and no first-term member of Congress who goes in is going to have that ability to do that except for me,” said Aiken.

So………we will finally get to learn if Clay wins. I hope he wins this exciting voting!

All the final pictures are from the last few months.

I hope we will hear about the election before it is VERY late.

NOW!!!!

  1. There is no voting today in my home state, so I will be focused on NC and Clay. Thanks for the photos.
