A lot of people like snow. I find it to be an unnecessary freezing of water. ~ Carl Reiner

In 2005, Natalie released her album titled Awaken. One of the most beautiful songs on the album was The Real Me. The poignant lyrics seem to express a search for peace from the push and pull of being in the limelight. Natalie’s book, “The Real Me: Being the Girl God Sees” was available to the public in January of 2005.
Clay Aiken included The Real Me on his album On My Way Here. He also sang the song on many of his live concerts.
The following is a wonderful video of Clay singing this wistful song.
Do you like this song?
This song was a perfect fit for Clay – I really love it and gives you a lot to think about. I am familiar with Natalie Grant and do agree that she is very talented. I have seen and heard Clay sing this song many times and never tire of listening to it! It has a tinge of sadness to it.
What a beautiful song. Clay does such a wonderful arrangement of it. So glad we have videos of these performances to carry us through the dark days of winter.
